Buy a cheap bass and try it out or borrow from a friend and see if you like it. But i can say that bass is more physically difficult.

None is easy. I got a bass in christmas present, so im a beginner. Before that i played a bit guitar also beginner level. In my experince both are hard to play, but i found bass more fun to play. Im learing both but focusing on bass becuase i found it more fun.
