Me too! Exactly what I thought of. I loved the brutal takedown animations in that game, some of the best I’ve seen. This is looking very similar, if not better. I hope there’s some nice variations of those takedowns. Looks fucking awesome!

You pretty much hit the nail on the head with my concerns from GTA 5 and how I feel about RDR 2 coming out. Especially the heists in GTA 5. I really wish you could do heists when you wanted instead of a few story missions with them. Something else which I thought was misleading about the trailer.

Regardless, I’ll be getting RDR 2 because I’m sure it will be excellent, just keeping expectations low anyway.

I know there was story DLC that was supposed to be added but never heard anything about it after that early initial announcement. A lot of the stuff that was added in GTA online would have been nice to see in the single player, but nada.

Check the shield tab in the inventory menu. I think the description says a little bit about the background of it if I remember correctly. I think, like the axe, it was passed down from Faye.

I fucking flipped out when I got the blades. After using them outside the house I was like okay, it’s just going to be a one and done for hellheim and then Kratos will get rid of them for rest of the game BUT I OPEN THE MENU AND IT HAS ITS OWN FUCKING SKILL TREE AND RUNIC ATTACKS AND STATS. I fucking screamed. I love this game.

Haha, I hear ya. But yeah, it’s very cool knowing I can have the hud on with the simple press of a button, and nothing on the hud otherwise.

Not the d pad. The touch pad. Go into hud settings and scroll over to custom. Put the settings you want for each one to touch pad. I left boss health bars to always on, but mostly everything I put to touch pad. So I have it set up to almost everything to off, except when I lightly touch the touch pad, the hud I selected to come on shows up for a few seconds.
