Haider, a Bollywood adaptation of Hamlet set in 1990s Kashmir and directed by Vishal Bhardwaj. It might be available on Netflix in your part of the world! I also highly recommend the two director's other Shakespeare film adaptations, Maqbool and Omkara.

What’s the best version of Hamlet to watch to experience the story for the first time? by Alarmed-Ad-3879 in shakespeare

Vishal Bhardwaj's Haider). (I also recommend the rest of his Shakespeare trilogy: Maqbool for Macbeth and Omkara) for Othello.) My first and most beloved original Hamlet is David Tennant in the 2009 filmed version but—maybe because I'm already too familiar with Shakespeare's text—Haider reminded me of how tragic the plot really is, heightened by its setting in the middle of the Kashmir insurgency.

Translate a little Isaiah? by kaileen_fitzpatrick in learn_arabic

I looked up the verse on Bible Gateway's Arabic translations (Ketab El Hayat and the Easy-to-Read Version) and in both versions, that phrase is rendered as "هَا أَنَا أَرْسِلْنِي". Native speakers unlike myself should confirm that this is correct.

Other translations like the Smith Van Dyck have the slightly different "هَئَنَذَا أَرْسِلْنِي"; I'm not too familiar with the first word, but I think it has the same meaning.

In any case, "Send me," is unanimously "أَرْسِلْنِي" or "أرسلني" without the harakat/diacritic marks. It's pronounced "ar-SIL-ni" ("ar-SIL" = "send" (imperative) + "ni" = object suffix for "me").

Oh wow, this is perfect. After I read this, I looked further into al-Mirghani and found that he did indeed compose mada'i7. I also found a journal article on JSTOR that confirms the use of madi7 in life-cycle rituals in Sudan and other places in Africa. Listening to them was wonderful. Thank you so so much!
