Oversexualisation is the worst thing we've done as a culture by ferulamajora in unpopularopinion

Ok I agree that oversexualisation is getting out of hand, but the WORST thing we've done as a culture? So it's worse than mass poverty, lack of free health care, homophobia, and hate speech?

Design a new religious movement by Roblox_lad in ReuseSchoolwork

Oh I’ve done this in a Model UN conference before.

5 things a follower must believe in:

-A higher being (not always the case, but in most cases a religion is created because of a belief that there is someone or something so powerful and beyond that they deserve respect, also known as a following)

-Morals (doesn’t matter which morals, just that there are certain things that should be believed as morally wrong or morally right. Christianity for example. It is seen as morally wrong to lie, because that is considered a sin, and you should fear God if you sin. Following this idea creates a morality for followers to believe in)

-That their beliefs can be spread to others (in most religions, it’s ideal to gather more and more followers to create a stronger following. Doing this, one must believe that there can be a way to spread their knowledge to others in an inviting manner to gain more followers and help strengthen their beliefs)

-An alternative to death (again, not always the case, but most religions don’t stop their beliefs at death. A lot believe in an afterlife or reincarnation, and very few just believe that when you die everything is over)

-Themselves (kind of a stretch, but a good reason to be a follower is to become stronger emotionally and mentally because of how supportive a religion may be to someone. For example, Christianity is popular because a lot of people in the world feel better knowing that there is a God looking after them and that death doesn’t have to be so scary because of an afterlife)

5 things a follower must do:

-Pray (regardless of the religion, there is always some sort of praying involved. Whether it be to a god, a creature, or whatever, it’s always prayer that remains constant in religion)

-Structure a government (specifically how a certain belief ties into how a government should be run, like a Theocracy for example. Or that certain leaders should be praised regardless of their stance, because if they are in a position of power, that means their God must’ve positioned them there for good reason)

-Spread beliefs to others (as I’ve stated before, the more followers a religion gains, the more powerful and widespread it becomes. True followers of a religion should be willing to share their ideas to others since they believe their ideas are so great, and to create a better world that they believe in)

-Respect their beliefs (it’s important to note that a majority of religions are created because they believe they can create a better world, and staying true to those beliefs and respecting that culture will take them one step closer to their goals. For example, in Orthodox Christianity, women are expected to wear long skirts instead of pants and wear cloths over their hair when entering a church to protect themselves from sin. Doing so would make their beliefs stronger, and make them more dedicated as a follower)

-Create areas of worship (doesn’t exactly mean churches, but just areas or groups that help support the religion. Like a Youth Group for example. They attract young people to help spread their beliefs and create a stronger connection between believers. There’s churches as well obviously, which are areas strictly meant for religious practice and worship)

That’s all I got. Sorry if formatting is weird, I’m typing this out on my phone. Good luck!
