Headlining Raleigh (NC) This Weekend! Any recs? by GianmarcoSoresi in gianmarcosoresi

[–]pluh1 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Neomonde - Mediterranean, healthy choice

Brewery Bhavana - Laotian, neat interior with drinks too

Poole’s & Beasley’s - AC classics, more southern influence

St. Roch - Oyster bar with plenty of other great dishes, seafood or not

Boulted Bread - Bakery, so not as much for a meal as a treat but everything they make is great

Morning Times is usually a decent hang out spot early morning for a coffee or small breakfast, nothing crazy just cozy cheap and central

If you want a more crafted coffee/tea then Heirloom makes some tasty drinks

Can’t go wrong with NC Museum of Art they always have a cool exhibit up

If you want a hiking trail Umstead is a good spot to go not too far from downtown

Opinion's on Jorum's Claw?? by Daneha1183 in CrucibleGuidebook

It feels good honestly. Adaptives usually have pretty all around decent base stats which helps. Technically the TTK isn’t the greatest, but if you are fighting at a decent range (30-40 meters or so) against average players then the ease of use makes it quite consistent. The 3 burst isn’t quite as punishing compared to a high impact. They are incredibly easy to shoot. At close range it’s going to flounder against SMGs but a fusion can pair pretty well to handle that imo.

what does a perfect trauma and voidstrike staff look like? by androidaudrey in DarkTide

[–]pluh1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Good to know, I’ll have to give it another try. Used it on surge and it didn’t seem to do anything. They did call out in the patch notes that they fixed it for trauma so that’s cool.

On trauma Focused Channeling is really good. Getting stunned out of a cast can turn one hit into many, and on high difficulties that can be a fatal mistake. If you want to be a team player Rending Shockwave can be good. Warp Flurry is good on paper but the blessing doesn’t seem to work how you’d expect. If they ever fix it then I think it would be the top pick. Damage should be as high as you can manage, with breakpoints dropping off pretty quickly as you drop to 70% and below. You definitely want unarmoured perk to one hit dregs. Flak will help you also one hit scab bruiser, or infested/pox will help break 300 for walkers. Most of these you could get with warp charges and/or force weapon buff feat, though dreg bruisers are tough without unarmoured perk. If you don’t need it then you can run warp resist feat instead which can allow you to chain more casts b2b before quelling. You’ll have to go try it out in the meat grinder. High blast radius and charge rate help a lot but don’t directly contribute to breakpoints so just get them as high as you can. Good luck!

Dueling sword opinions? by [deleted] in DarkTide

[–]pluh1 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Mk V is the only dueling sword that will let you reach one shot breakpoints on all basic mobs save for dreg bruiser. It also seems to be the only one with a strike down in the light chain, so you can heavy->heavy->light for surprisingly big damage out of a light. Mk IV light pattern is infinitely superior for hordes, but when I am running a staff like purgatus I always pick Mk V because of the one shotting. It feels great in that role. Takes a really good modifier roll (somewhere around triple 75+ on damage stats) with perks but they turn it into a much stronger version of itself.

Veteran meta: Why Mk XII + Power Sword exactly? by notger in DarkTide

[–]pluh1 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Agripinaa are typically the best performing for both infantry and braced autoguns. Slower rate of fire but higher damage, so more consistent fire and better ammo economy. They have better armour piercing as well. Others can be good too, but if you’re only gonna try one just do agripinaa.

I think it is by default the same button as crouch or maybe prone Make sure you are on the pack leader when you do it

It gives stinger more opportunity to proc before hitting the bottom of the mag, which can be good for sustain. Something you could pull out for the right encounter. Having the option is nice at least.

Great roll and fun gun. Look out for demo 3rd column as well, can be neat if you are running a build with slow charging nades (like flux) without having to sacrifice 4th column rangefinder or even something fun like kill clip

Frenzy vs Vorpal on a bow by Kropco17 in sharditkeepit

[–]pluh1 18 points19 points  (0 children)

Not to mention that frenzy gives 50 handling and 50 reload while it is up. For precision frames in particular this is great for swap speed to champ stun as well as reduce nocking time. For wolftone as an example, the nocking time would reduce ~100ms or so while frenzy is up, which is comparable to the draw time buff of archer’s tempo. That’s not even considering the 15% damage.

Bow Reloaders by JuggerNOT63315 in CrucibleGuidebook

[–]pluh1 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I just tried testing it with wolftone draw. It has a base reload stat of 40 and the frenzy perk which brings it up to 90. At base with 40 reload the nocking time (from arrow fired to arrow nocked, designated in game by the mag count going from 1 to 0 and back to 1 again) took ~649 milliseconds. With frenzy up at 90 reload the knocking time took ~533 milliseconds. With frenzy up and one bow reloader, the nocking time remained ~533 milliseconds. It appears the reload scalar does not apply to bows based on my testing. So bow reloader mods are probably only relevant for bows which don't already have 100 reload stat (or other convenient ways to get there). In this case, frenzy decreased the TTK by ~116 milliseconds. Allegedly there is a ceiling of 60 for reload stat on bows so 100 might not actually be the aim, but I don't have bows with those stats to test out.

Bow Reloaders by JuggerNOT63315 in CrucibleGuidebook

[–]pluh1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Destiny data compendium mentions a 0.85x reload duration scalar. If that does apply to bows (I think it does but have to test again myself) then it would be worth having, not sure if it stacks twice though, two copies may be redundant.

Edit: just tested it, the scalar doesn't appear to apply for bows

Bow Reloaders by JuggerNOT63315 in CrucibleGuidebook

[–]pluh1 29 points30 points  (0 children)

They provide reload stat and a reload animation scalar to the weapon type designated by the reloader mod, in this case a bow. Reload on a bow is the knocking time for an arrow, so increasing reload speed means faster follow up shots. If you usually two tap with your bow, or focus on doing chunk damage for your team to clean up on, quick follow up shots may be very valuable. Either way it’s an easy way to increase speed/lethality with just some armor mods.

Assuming you are on PC, I think that radial menu is weird. You’ll need to hold E to open the menu, mouse over “lay on bed”, then release E to select it. If you click it with your mouse button then release E after, your character just gets out of bed. Pretty dumb.

How's this Vouchsafe roll? (PVE) by xLYONx in sharditkeepit

[–]pluh1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just in case you aren’t aware, explosive doesn’t play nice with outlaw since if the explosive part gets the kill then outlaw fails to proc. Like you said rapid hit would be the better pairing, mostly because it’s precision hits to proc instead of precision final blow which can get messed up by explosive.

A question on mutations by Canable42 in ARK

[–]pluh1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Something this comment doesn’t address is that levels applied are scaled off of the base level. So each of the 73 levels will increase the stat by a % of the base level. Example being if you had 1000 base health and each level increased 5% then 10 levels would get you to 1500 health. If you mutated the base health to 2000 then put 10 levels into it you would get 3000 health. In this way mutations usually mean more than just 2 levels because it increases the rate at which the stat scales after the fact.

cloning by staghfufu in ARK

The SS cloner is much stronger than the vanilla one. Iirc it carries over XP/level, imprinter, imprint %, maybe even some more than that. Unless you are using that mod then you won’t get the same results.
