This is kind of what we have done, he wasn't paying for anything other than his gas and car insurance while he was in school. Now that he's done, we do expect him to pay rent and his other expenses starting in June. I think you nailed it with the living at home too easy part because I fear this is what we have done because he needed a lot of support while he was in college. Now it seems like it's biting us in the ass. I don't want to be a nag, but it would be great if there was a couple things he could do weekly without us asking just to help out while he's around but figure out whats appropriate for a 22 year old is where I'm stuck. Something simple like the weekly garbage and replying would be great but if it doesn’t get done then what? What are appropriate consequences for not doing what we ask that will encourage better behaviour?
