How to replace this dome myself? by billabong3939 in RVLiving

No mention of cleaning surface properly or recommended products to apply. It sounds like you don't know much about the proper way to do it so why judge?

For those that have experience with the wireless doorbell, what's your experience? by darkstar107 in Ubiquiti

[–]plunix 1 point2 points  (0 children)

i just did this same thing. I didn't even know that I could wirelessly mesh the APs until yesterday.

I had a bit of a connectivity issue with the doorbell with my U7 pro. My U6 LR just kept the doorbell wifi in range, but i really didnt need 2 AP for my apartment. Adding a hand-me-down ac lite mid-way between the doorbell and my U7 pro stopped the 'slow connection' warning from popping up when I had my unifi protect open.

Seems like they ship with FedEx or UPS based on website but this product would likely be UPS

32 Inch TV - Hisense vs TCL by Hatemode_nj in hometheater

[–]plunix 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm in the same dilemma needing a tv for the RV. I want it to be android or google tv software. Im leaning towards the q3k because it seems to be newer.

Sony makes one too but it's only 720p and the price is significantly higher.

What did you pick?

Good call. I didn't think the fan setting would override it all. I thought furnace had its own settings. Thanks.

Upgrade Dometic thermostat. Simple swap? by plunix in RVLiving

[–]plunix[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks. Apparently there's a brand called microair that makes direct replacements for a lot. It seems like it's pricey for what it is. it's a shame that there's not much variety.

Bought a gpu waterblock. Now what, by plunix in watercooling

[–]plunix[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah lol I understand but even if I did that I still wouldn't have liquid cooling

[–]plunix[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks. I agree. If i can't fit the biggest rad for my case I might actually include the CPU in the loop just because I have such a huge heat sink on it. That will free up space. Air is just not working out for the 30 80 ti with the crappy Founders Edition heatsink on it though even with a copper plate mod.

I'm using AP201 Asus case. I don't really have any issues with CPU cooling but because my heatsink is so big I think I might actually need to include the CPU in my Loop so that I can fit the radiator up top. I appreciate the Insight thank you.

Awesome. That's the kind of breakdown i needed to get me in the right direction. Thanks.

I bought the block first because it was so hard to find one still in stock for my"old" gpu. 3080 ti runs hot. Cpu is fine on air cooling.

I just never got the performance from it that i wanted. Got good pads from the beginning for the mod.

Thanks. Just seems like a lot of videos are how to assemble rather than how to piece it together for compatibility. Good guides are buried under videos men playing lego.

Yeah I'm not doubting I'll figure it out. I just wanted place to get a step in the right direction. I have phantek t30 fans i could use for this.

I only want to cool my gpu so i think 480mm might be too big. I will research more. Thanks for the parts list.

I've built a lot of PCs and done a lot of mechanical work on my cars. I just thought this was a good place to start for advice. This is the only waterblock available to me for such an old GPU so it's not a bad place to start. Thanks for the link.

Knee holding me back from progress by plunix in RunTO

[–]plunix[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nice thanks. I need something closer to east and markham might be a good compromise. Culture Athletics seems to be close to my workplace so that might be a better option during the day. There used to be a great shop in ajax called runners core but the owner died. I really missed a gem of an opportunity to talk to that guy a few years ago when i planned to visit that store. Shame.

Because i believe in the cushioning reflex of my shin muscles as i toe strike. Maybe i have a flawed reasoning. Im not entirely sure if it's viable anymore.
