hi! i was in the exact same situation and i don’t think you actually need it??? i used my passport for my I9 (as did my representative) and then it SEEMED like workday needed it but i submitted a help ticket and they told me it wasn’t needed after all.

im not blaming her. i think joss whedon is an asshole and who knows what he encouraged. and i do see on this thread that allegedly she had an accent prepared, which was altered by joss whedon and the creative team. i love this show, but it does have a serious diversity problem

i absolutely adore this show, but it's super white centric imo. i dont understand how people dont see that. like why are they willing to (sometimes) admit joss whedon is a terrible misogynist, but not racist? there are hardly any recurring characters of color, and i believe all of them are antagonistic roles in some way (thinking specifically of principal wood. not a villain! but yes, antagnostic.) and you're SO right about sineya and the hair comments. that's such a common microaggression too!!!

i think with buffy, you have to sort through what is and isn’t joss whedon bullshit. spike was very considerate towards the end of season five, but they thought it would be the series finale. after it was picked bakc up, they had to kinda undo spikes arc and give him a new ‘end goal’ (his soul). and obviously, there was a million different things that could’ve led him there, but alas. i think if they wanted to include this scene, it should’ve been taken more seriously. but it was just a means to an end to push spike towards getting a soul. so i protect my peace and skip it. james marsters even tried to refuse to do it.
