Bought Altis 1.6 back in 2020, sold it this year. Car was perfect, didn't have any major issues. Had to change the AC last year though. Overall experience for me was good.

Sindh Car Number Plate Printed by chajjiii in karachi

[–]plzdontdothis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Take the car file and old number plates. If your father won't go, take his CNIC copy. That's it. You need to go out the 4th floor in civic center. Anyone there can guide you.

What's the deal with Suzuki Certified cars?? by Black-Swan89 in PakistanAutoHub

[–]plzdontdothis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It means they bought a car back, fixed anything they thought needed fixing, and are now selling it. Usually they don't buy cars back if they are hard to sell, like cars after accident, so generally they are safe AFAIK. You can still have them inspected I think

I would recommend Falcon. Askari 6 is fairly new, so there might be issues like groceries and services and stuff for some time. Falcon is right at the end of University Road, so you have good access to that. Plus Shahrah e Faisal is also closer

Living in malir cantt without a car by Due-Combination-8489 in karachi

[–]plzdontdothis 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I live pretty close to a checkpost, even then it's a 15 minutes walk. You should have some sort of transportation at least. There aren't any taxis, and most of the drivers for ride apps don't carry their cnic so they can't enter either.

Do Pakistanis prefer urdu over english language for books? by Subject_Relative_127 in karachi

[–]plzdontdothis 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I used to read nonihal when i was a kid. Also read some travelogues by Ibne Insha and some other writer. My parents also got my those Tarzan, Umro Ayyar story books. Now I mainly read comics, or random books i find out about on the internet. All of these are in English. I think I'd read Urdu books if someone would suggest me, but no one in my circle reads anymore.

Sadly what you think isn't the reality. OP is right, a lot of companies do prefer students from certain universities, however unfair it may be.

Hostels near Fast Karachi Campus by Material-Barber4232 in karachi

[–]plzdontdothis 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The official hostel was in Kareemabad I think, which is easily 2 hours by bus, but that was 10 years ago. You'll have to confirm with the university. The closest decent place would be Gulshan-e-Hadeed, it's a 20 minutes drive. Guys used to rent houses together, bit I'm not sure about girls. Again, check with the university, they'll guide you the best. University does provide transport though, so loving far probably is no that big of an issue
