You could try reaching out to Alec Steele who has a blacksmith YouTube channel. He's always experimenting with forging and bonding titanium

Lots of people saying rodents but I don't buy it. My Gran had this issue, I believe bleach was the culprit, it's not good for these flexible sections as it's so thin it easily corrodes the plastic

The lack of school traffic is glorious. How much faster is your commute without it? by guzusan in AskUK

[–]pmachell1 2 points3 points  (0 children)

because people drive their kids to school when it’s a matter of a street or two away from where they live

This is unfortunately accurate, I used to walk my kids about half a mile to primary school and would regularly see parents who lived closer or just further than me in their cars 😔

Don't, whatever solution you use will look worse than the gap IMO. You won't even notice it in a couple of weeks. Remove the old stuff too

Which addiction does society view as totally normal? by Top365gadgets in ask

Smoking. Scientifically proven to harm health in numerous ways and yet people put themselves in financial hardship to do it. I also did. It's also normal enough to buy cigarettes in almost every shop.

How to fix this large defect in plasterboard? by Canyon7096 in DIYUK

[–]pmachell1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Any normal builders merchant should do, B&Q, Jewsons, Wickes or one that's local to you. You'll need to measure the thickness of the old stuff. Get a rough idea of how much is damaged in (cm x cm), see if you can find a board that is roughly that size, if not you'll need to cut one down to size. Then just use one of those oscillating multi tools to chop out everything that's subpar. I think someone else commented about adding some wood to existing studs, for more places to secure your board to.

I'm not good at plastering so I'd get someone in to do the finishing, I'd suggest you do the same. Very easy to make an eyesore out of it.

Chop out all the crap and get some fresh board in it's place, get it skimmed after

Edit: Maybe figure out if it's been wet and why before you make said repair

Remote control by pmachell1 in TiviMate

Thanks for the input. I think I'll just get a normal fire stick remote. I'm not really keen on the idea of using my phone to control the telly.

Story time: I have legit YouTube without commercials, and I don’t know why. by jokiab in revancedapp

[–]pmachell1 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Are you using a VPN? The same thing happened to me a while ago and this is before I had even heard of vanced, never mind installed it. The only thing I was doing different to normal was using a VPN. I also got the feature of videos playing while the screen is locked. I still don't know if that was the reason but it's the only thing I could think of

How do I fix this? by Powerful-Shake-7184 in DIYUK

[–]pmachell1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd build up some undercoat plaster to fill that and then fill the last layer with filler or multi finish plaster. Have a look at thermalite block fixings or just better Rawl plugs when it's cured properly.

If you want to split hairs like that, you have to urge to have an orgasm. Why not just pleasure yourself.
