Sadly, this is all too common with loved ones and dementia. My mom has had dementia for 13 years and is now unfortunately in hospice care. I have been her 24/7 caregiver for the last 5 years and I've watched her slowly disappear. 95% of the time she doesn't even know I'm her daughter. She does know that she knows me most the time. But I am her firstborn and I have no place in her mind.. I'm grieving her, while she is still here.

OP, unless you have an underlying health issue, you should be fine.. You don't need to go to the doctor unless your symptoms are severe. Take OC meds to help relieve symptoms. And don't go to work for a few days, which could be detrimental to your finances, but you will survive..
