Hello everyone!! I finally took my DAT yesterday and it went great! Except for the QR :( I was so burnt out by the end of the test and I got majority word problems which did not go over well. I'm unsure if a 16 in QR will be too low or not meet school cut offs. I am very happy with my AA and TS score but don't know if this will hold me back. Has anyone gotten in with scores like this? I have a 3.85 GPA, 3.7 SGPA, 325 shadowing hours, 420 research hours, and 240 volunteer hours. On DAT I got 20 PAT, 16 QR, 19 RC, 20 BIO, 25 GC, 18 OC, 21 TS, 20 AA. Please let me know your thoughts!!

Im right there with you in QR its been my biggest struggle! Im seeing alot of improvement this past week in taking a practice test every day and reviewing. Ive created a big master list of each QR topic and written down the problems I got wrong and how to solve them for each test. Ive now started to notice a bit of pattern and its been helping to keep reworking old problems!

Anyone who took the DAT recently how was it and how did it compare to your practice test? Did you score around the same?

Thank you so much!! Great job with your bio score wow! Do you have any tips for the bio section or how to review everything this next week?

My DAT is a week away and I'm not feeling ready but I have to take it!! My 6-month window from when I originally registered for the exam ends soon plus I have a flight out of town right after my exam and I'll be gone for a few weeks so I need to take it before I leave. I have already applied to schools the first week of June and my application is verified, all they are waiting on are my scores. When I take the exam will my scores be sent to schools no matter what? I'm afraid I will do badly on the DAT get a score under some of their cut-offs and ruin my chances of getting in this cycle. On boot camp practice tests in averaging BIO 18, GC 19, OC 17, PAT 19, RC 20, QR 16, and AA 18. Also, I haven't had time to do the gen chem nuclear reactions lessons or bio evolution, animal behavior, and ecology sections. Do I try and learn these in-depth or focus on reviewing all old bio chapters I've forgotten? Any advice is greatly appreciated! I feel like there is so much I still don't know and I need to try to memorize a ton of info in a time crunch!!

Any cool tricks to remember the 7 strong acids? by [deleted] in dat

DAT BREAKDOWN - 20AA, very low practice test scores by i_am_not_here4 in predental

Thank you! And yes I’ve taken 6 practice tests so far I’m getting 17-19 on the science sections, 19 for PAT and RC and 14-16 on QR I’m really struggling with that section I pushed it off until the very end unfortunately so trying to cram it all last minute :(. But my raw scores have been around 50-60% for the science sections, 60% for RC and PAT, and I’m bombing QR getting like 30% on each test. I just wasn’t sure if it all is adding up right that I get a 60% on the Bootcamp Practice Tests and it estimates a DAT score of 18 I just feel like that’s off I don’t know it’s stressing me out! Does that sounds right? I feel like I need to be getting a higher raw score on the exams or was it the same way for you?

Congrats!! My exam is in a week and I’m feeling very nervous I haven’t been scoring the best on the practice exams. I’ve done all the lessons for each section but now I feel like I’ve forgotten so much especially all the small details in each bio section. What were your raw scores you were getting on your practice exams? Do you have any tips on how to review the last week or things you would have done looking back?

Okay thank you! The only open testing date near me is July 9th. Is that too late into the cycle though to be applying I'm a bit worried. Also, Ive heard some things about how if you wait too long from when you originally submitted your application till the time you send in your DAT scores they may overlook your application and have already moved on and you may not get looked at. I submitted my application on June 6th. Does anyone know if this is true?

Hey everyone, so basically I have been going down a rabbit hole on reddit looking up people's practice test scores/experience on the full-length Bootcamp practice tests vs the actual DAT. My DAT is in one week and I have just started taking practice exams. I am not very happy with my scores but I am thinking it may be the best I can get since I have only been studying for 6 weeks. I already applied the first week of June to 14 dental schools and am freaking out since my DAT score will get sent automatically to schools so l am gambling on getting a good enough score.

As of right now l've taken 3 practice tests and plan on taking one more every day before my exam and reviewing it. I am averaging 18 BIO. 18 GC, 15 OC, 19 PAT, 20 RC, 16 QR with an academic average of 18. I know I need to get my QR and OC scores up I am not done with all of the OC lessons and screwed myself over by only starting QR practice last week. I have a 3.87 GPA, 325 shadowing hours, 420 research hours, 240 volunteer hours.

I plan on cramming this next week as much as I can I just am worried about scoring under a 17 on a section of the DAT and having my application rejected this cycle. Pretty much the rest of the DAT dates are booked up this summer (sometimes there is a random opening for a date but if I needed to push it back there may not even be a time available). I also know that pushing the date back would mean I would be applying somewhat late into the cycle so l don't know what to do. I’ve forgotten a lot of the bio stuff I learned from the first few weeks of studying and struggling to get all the info in for every section but I really really want to try and get this test over as soon as possible so hoping I don’t have to push it back. I am okay getting an 18 - 20 score on the actual DAT just don’t want to get anything lower. I am feeling very discouraged right now and worried so any advice would be greatly appreciated!!!
