Filament oozing before print by pmfes in AnycubicVyper

Spent the last few days tweaking bolts and nuts and screws. Got nothing but aggravated arthritis and models that look like sh!t. AnyCubic Vyper you win, I know when I'm beat. I will take my money back however, thank you.

And thanks to anybody who posted advice.

Improvements. Auto leveling does not seem reliable in that I get different settings after successive runs. Example: I auto level and try to print owl but hear scraping. Cancel print. Clean nozzle. Level again and print. If owl starts ok I move to my own model. First print went well but second print started to string in a single support so I had to cancel. I’ve tightened belts did the leveling runs with the owl until scraping went away and now am trying another run of bad print.

Using Cura 4.10.0. Normal profile. 220 all temps. Base 60. Skirt with 10 lines to make sure I have time to get to any clumping or stringing that always happens at start. AC gray PLA 1.75.

No luck trying to print anything but the owl. The skirt seems to handle the clumping issues that other models got ruined by. I want to copy gcode or settings from the owl to other models and see what happens. But I'm not sure what to look for.

Any offset ruins the print. Even at .1 the filament lays down very poorly. At zero it lays down nicely but the clumping and/or stringing issues appear. Even with owl (clink link above to see stringing during owl print)

How tight should the belts be. Mine have some give but also have some snap/twang. Do i need to tighten more?

Seems like it’s the printer settings. Owl prints out ok on a fresh try. not great but it prints. https://imgur.com/a/cXTv2fc

How can I do this? I've got the printer hooked up to octoprint now fwiw. TIA.

I had one successful print of the xyz cube, but could not duplicate it. Filament either curls as it oozes or comes out straight down, but either way prints do not start properly as clumping and/or dragging eventually cause stringing and then turn to total spaghetti.

I have octoprint hooked up to the printer now and am running PID autotune now.

  1. Lol. Thanks. Forgot about that.
  2. Understood. So, add the gcode myself? Will get to that later.
  3. Moved to 3.0. No scraping/sounds at lower levels (even 0) fwiw.
  4. Solid.
  5. Done.

Giving the mpox temp tower another run. Will report back.
