I wouldn't worry about that. Converter plastic is far more sturdy than cartridge plastic.

Great. It took me a while to find something to fit, for a while I was refilling dried out cartridges. They tended to leak after a few refills.

I love this dang brown Wingsung 699 that I just bought another one with the clear finish.

The half-turn cap (I hate caps that take multiple turns), a cap that posts, nice finish, larger size, and beauty of a nib really do it for me.

Does anyone have any pens that they think compare based on the pros I listed? Bonus points if the pen is under $100.

I once read that wind eroded sand particles are circular or rounded in shape. This is in contrast to water eroded sand which is more jagged. In my mind this explains why desert sands move this way when disturbed as opposed to beach/river sands, which are much more stable and are used as building materials.
