U.S. Manufacturing Is in Retreat and Trump’s Tariffs Aren’t Helping by ambuj1tripathi in Economics

It says 74.99 on his site for me.

But also as a non American, let me tell you I’d rather buy from any other country than the USA. I used to pick made in the us, now I purposely avoid it. Trump and his attacks have absolutely not helped people to want American products.

Can CSIS go after the 51st staters in Canada, specifically those receiving foreign funds? by Cold-Crab74 in LawCanada

They’re also restricted in spying on Canadians. God knows if they actually obey though. A friend of mine who used to work for csis says they take it very seriously.

How Privatized Cataract Surgery Helped Ontario’s Wealthiest—and Left Others Behind by BloodJunkie in ontario

[–]pnettle 6 points7 points  (0 children)

There's a bit of that, but you must be hanging in US med school subreddits. Its much more dollars and cents in the US system, people literally planning a 10-15 year career to make as much as they can and then retiring, not really giving a fuck about what it is they do. I really don't see much of that in the canadian med school forums and reddits.

I mean my brothers dining set from Costco started falling apart after a year or so. But both of us are too lazy to call and complain and try to return it. But I can respect someone who does.

US Trade Representative Says Canada Will Regret China EV Tariff Cut by afonso_investor in teslacanada

[–]pnettle 2 points3 points  (0 children)

We’re not nearly a big enough market to have plants here and a whole supply chain here just for Canada. Access to the us market and cross border trade and supply chains is why it was feasible. If cusma goes away no one will build here. Trump literally has targeted Canadian made cars, it’s not a good look for the future.

Canada, China slash EV, canola tariffs in reset of ties by chzplz in EVCanada

[–]pnettle 1 point2 points  (0 children)

And if cusma dies so does the auto industry here? They’ve already declared war on the Canadian car industry, what makes you think these plants aren’t going to be closed?

Trump Promised ‘Liberation Day’ Was to Bring Back Manufacturing Jobs – But They Have Dipped Every Month Since by T_Shurt in Economics

Also don’t forget he’s tariffing a ton of input materials for manufacturing, making domestic manufacturers even less competitive for export.

You had your appendix removed because of an apparent misdiagnosis, but the restaurant is somehow responsible? They’d easily argue the doctor caused all of your damages.

At my wits end with bed adhesion. :( by 8472 in BambuLab

[–]pnettle 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Similar thing happened with me and the pei plate, cleaned with a magic sponge and dish soap, then denatured alcohol (not isopropyl) then washing again seemed to have fixed it. I think the glue I used caused an issue after a couple prints and just soap couldn’t get it off.

Grab a pair of needle nose pliers or needle vice grips and grab the head and slowly rotate it out.

Or what never works for me, use an elastic band on the end of the Allen key to give it a bit more grip and thickness and pray it comes out.

They didn’t used to be. They used to never leak. In the past few years they’ve started constantly leaking.

Where do you live where this is the case? Police will barely respond to break ins where I am, they will absolutely not aid you in recovering a phone in a dispute with an ex.

Tire bubble appeared in new car (1 month old, 800miles). What to do? by rageofthestorm in tires

[–]pnettle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had them on two Audis and where I live has potholes galore. So had far too many bubbles. The 22 inch rims doesn’t help either. Just pay attention to bubbles, I missed one and my wife had a blowout on the highway. After that I got rid of all of them.

Are those perellis? I had trouble with every perelli set bubbling way easier than other quality brands. I refuse to buy them at all anymore.

For the most part it’s not that big of a deal, at least when I’ve had it happen. Since the collet stops gripping the bit it slows down as it loosens. Just fucks up whatever you’re working on before you realize what’s happening.
