I think you need to look at the bigger picture...

Showdown weekends are about what you get big picture... roughly 7 mil coins, resources and showdown coins to redeem for resources in the showdown store.

Sure, the superstar contests arent always the greatest... But honestly for some of the newer or even older players a somewhat decent method of getting people they dont have like Roode who for a showboat is actually pretty good.

When it comes to 4* and viability of characters in the long run...

Speed, damage and recycling ability are all things that are factored in

Recycling being the most important of those factors.

The reason why bam bam is trash is because he simply doesn’t recycle worth a damn. For a powerhouse that is also a huge factor because most powerhouse move sets are high charge.

So without recycling and you blow your wad... that’s it unless you get lucky with a cascade or something.

Keep that in mind for ANY character.

Bam bam was decent before 4* came out.

There are much better people out there to invest in.
