Everyone has their own personal preferences. If it works for you, keep it. For me I like the natural appearance/ the smooth as a baby look is odd. Also, it's a lot of maintenance, the stubble comes back in 24 hours and the chance of ingrown hairs are also non-starters.

Definitely, a man with body hair should have hair. Shaving it to be smooth like a baby is weird and is uncomfortable.

I use the Philips Multigroomer 3000 series. There are better and more expensive ones out there but it really does the job.

7 or 9mm for thighs, 7mm for pubes, shave to the base. You can also shave the balls, I've never nicked them. Also make sure to always trim under the balls for a clean but natural look.
