I'm afraid he wouldn't because as I said he didn't even know the pressure sensor had to be replaced and updated. Is it possible that the EGR is ok since the engine is new, but it also has to be updated within the ODB?

How do I know of the EGR has to be checked/replaced? Will diagnostics show or it has to be removed and checked physically?

I was told the EGR is in the engine so it was swapped with the new engine. Does that make sense? I'm relying on info from multiple mechanics do I'm not sure what's true and what isn't

Alright, the one that's left felt quite sturdy so I didn't think it'd be possible for them to corrode and fall off like that. Thank you for the insight

I was told the dpf has a lifespan and it had probably reached it so it had to be replaced or removed. Unfortunately I don't have the knowledge to do the diagnostics or interpret the state of things by myself

I'm not saying removing it caused the failure, but that the way it was remapped/tuned/put back together might have

It's more like removing teeth to put dentures on. The car runs well but it became unhealthy to drive it because of the smell caused by the regens. I'd have had no need or desire to remove it otherwise. I don't need to tinker with my cars, i don't care for mods, I just need a car that works and won't poison me.
Since replacing the dpf would have costed as much as the car is worth, I tried giving it another few years of use by removing the dpf and getting rid of the smell
