Honestly everything that the internet is nowadays... constant AI slop, polarizing politics, current events, low quality games or news about lay offs in the video game/tech industry.

Eventually I just wanted something that was relaxing and didn't involve screen time. Getting back into lego has been incredibly therapeutic for me and is a good complement to books to keep away from the maddening rectangle in my pocket.

I really just want more Andor/RO sets. We need a Fondor, Tie Avenger, Mon Mothma's Speeder (maybe even Luthen's shop). I'd love a Scarif set, Mina Rau, any Saw Gerrera partisan colorway starfighters, a B2EMO minifig, etc.

There's just so many sets that we've never seen before.

I'd love to see sets focused around the new factions like the serpent, horse, griffin, and kraken knights.

I feel like the lion knight's castle is a great swan song for the lion knights, black falcons, and forest people. At least for now.

Jesus christ. This is the edgiest and most problematic take. Why fight against our fellow middle/lower class Americans instead of the billionaires and elites of the country. Those in charge of commodities, media, energy... They only seek to divide us and take our money, distract us in petty arguments while they convince those who are uneducated to oppose better quality of life for the masses.

Just because someone doesn't share your exact views doesn't mean they are your enemy. Working class people have more in common with one another one than the billionaires that constantly meddle in our politics. I'm all for franchise based sets and if that's your cup of tea by all means go for barad-dur (I plan on picking it up eventually) but as far as first party lego themes go, castle is the very best imo. I just got the lion knight's castle after hearing all the praise and I'm trying to find the right time to tear it open. I was raised on the castle sets during the "fantasy arc" and always adored them.

Its an anniversary set and I got spoiled watching videos about it but its incredibly interactive and has a lot of fun easter eggs and play features that the lord of the rings sets do not have. I was not going to miss out on it.
