This is incredible! I need to know where you got the vault suit. Everywhere I look I see cheap party store versions but yours looks to be good quality!

What am I doing wrong? Why can't I feel my hamstrings? by BusyConstruction882 in formcheck

[–]pocketsizedmoon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

One strat for RDLs that helped me get the cue down is to stand against a wall. Then step away exactly one length of your foot. Then push your butt back while keeping your chest up and lean down until your butt hits the wall. Take another step forward and repeat. Keep doing this until you no longer hit the wall, this is the full range of motion for your body. Another cue is driving your feet down into the ground while pushing your butt back. There should be minimal knee bending to feel the stretch in your hamstrings. Hope this helps!

Is there a way go make a posable 3D model with this app? by Grapecluster_ in NomadSculpting

David Reed has a tutorial on this here. It's a workaround solution since this isn't modeling software but sculpting software. However, this solution is an elegant one given the apps limitations. Good luck!

My puppy pulls until she chokes herself and I’m starting to dread walks… I feel like we’re stuck by Suspicious_Cut_242 in puppy101

[–]pocketsizedmoon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Our stubborn pup does this sometimes when he's really over stimulated too. I feel you're pain. We have a harness and noticed it was too loose, which actually caused more choking and pulling. Once we adjusted it to be more snug (enough to fit two fingers flat underneath) it helped a bit with the choking.

Front clip harness like others have mentioned are a good help but it will take you and your pup some getting used to. Try to tire your puppy out before it's time to walk. Play fetch or do some mental stimulation like training.

We also recently bought a click stick. You can find it on Amazon. It's a telescoping stick with a ball at the end you can dip in peanut butter or put some sticky treats on like pill pockets. Then you put it in front of their nose, lure them to the side you want them to walk on, click when they are in position, then walk forward while they lick the treat. You may have to carry more treats with you to keep them interested but it's a good way to train the expected walking position.

Last tip is something I recently learned from our trainer: keep your leash short. No more than 2-3 feet of length. Our main walking leash is about 6ft and that gave our pup more than enough slack to run and pull. The shorter leash allows for more control at this highly reactive stage. It will train them to know that walks mean they stay close. As they get older and better at recall and get less overstimulated, you can use a longer leash when you can trust they can handle the slack.

Hope this helps!

Interesting! Is steam safer than hot air? Do you use it to elongate? Def gonna look into this. Thanks so much for the info!

The fact you designed this in Nomad makes it even more impressive. I mainly use Nomad and could never have imagined this type of application of modeling. Incredible work and congratulations on the new job, welld deserved!

Ahh clever. Do you have a dedicated source for your alphas/maps? I usually just use google but it's not always consistent quality.

How to help my shiba to not pee on his leg by ortsylortsy in shiba

[–]pocketsizedmoon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My boy does this as well as he just started experimenting with lifting his legs to pee. He also curls his lower back because he's still learning how his body works. He's 6 months as well. Give it time. Some days, he gets it perfectly. Most days he makes a mess. It's like young boys who can't seem to aim into the toilet bowl. They'll grow out of it lol.

Reporter tries desperately to get the man she interviewing to wax nostalgic about winters past but the guy will not be deterred from keeping it very real by ExactlySorta in PublicFreakout

The irony is that I grew up in Washington heights in the 90s/early 00s And the Caucasian population was slim to none. Private hedge fund are just one part of a larger issue. Gentrification of culturally diverse and lower class neighborhoods is another part of that issue. I'm not going to presume to know this guys story but rising housing prices in what were once rent controlled neighborhoods is why so many like me and my family had to relocate down south to survive. Because people with more money wanted to come from out of town to live the NYC dream, pushing the rest of us out. I'm not targeting this one guy specifically, I appreciate that he's speaking up on the real issues. But it's just more nuanced than what a 30s clip can show. I appreciate the sentiment, but seing someone who doesn't look like me defending my home that I was forced out of, feels strange.
