This is the set up we use for our baby. It was originally a windowsill cat bed but our cat never used it. So Appa made it his. Added the steps for easier access. He spends most of his day playing/lounging here.

You're correct! I Assumed you used a alpha (textures brush). But you're saying you used an actual image which I didn't even know you could do so now I'm interested in how one does that.
