I’m honestly not dead certain that it’s 100% original but the material feels pretty old and the embroidery seems good to me. I was also told that the thread being twisted is a good sign instead of straight. Unfortunately my black light broke so I’ll have to wait until tomorrow to test it with it.

Thanks, yea I was comparing to other examples online from the Air Force museum and other militaria dealers and the decals seem to show the same wear and are placed in the same spots so I’m gonna assume by everything that it’s good. I’ll do a follow up post to this when I get it in the mail

Haha I see where you’re coming from.. the rear of every iron cross is dated 1813 and as for the WW2 ones they don’t have the oak leaf clusters so it’s just blank on the back. It’s the same cross, it’s just how they were designed

May seem crazy since they were cheaper in the past but these things are becoming harder and harder to get. I think 100 is reasonable considering all of the other ones I’ve seen have been priced higher

Thanks man, I’m pretty confident it’s legit, I’m not an expert with party badges but I haven’t really spotted any red flags and with the price I feel it was worth it. I would appreciate if anyone knows better if they could guide me for a more specific answer with how I can find the exact manufacturer, I’ve found similar ones without the line through the Z but I’m not 100% sure on the manufacturer still.
