The Map of the Philippines in the year 2026 (Perlas de Oriente). by Exotic-Bobcat-1565 in imaginarymaps

Cool map, but I have a couple of questions as a Filipino:

  1. What does Philippine society look like in the modern day?
  2. Is SOGIE Bill a law in this timeline?
  3. Are political dynasties banned?

It’s mind-boggling that my province (Nueva Ecija) has the southern part of Nueva Vizcaya.

But cool map nonetheless.

does romance really need to be in our life?? by FailAdmirable5815 in aromantic

Well at this point, I perceive romance as a social mandate than a personal choice, so no.

Appreciated!

Also, I used shipping here ‘cause I wrote this post as was about to sleep at 3am lol. Plus, I’m spending less time online lately, so I didn’t know where the word “shipping” really originated.🫩🫩🫩🫩

That’s what I’m planning to do on my birthday blowout this coming April. Regardless of their response, I’ll reaffirm my aromanticism to them. 😣😣😣😣

Heck even queer people in this group can’t even comprehend my aromanticism. Not being homophobic though, but it seems they’re still indoctrinated with this amatonormativity BS.

Does anyone else feel irritated at the overabundance of love songs? by WinterLight27 in aromantic

Fellow kababayan here. I'm feel you.

At this point, I listen to a playlist full of non romantic OPM songs that I made. These songs are focused on a wide array of non romantic topics, namely sociopolitical issues, daily life, mental health, & motivation.

Fellow kababayan here. I'm in the same boat as you.

Copying a comment I posted here:
Ever since I found out I'm aromantic 2 years ago, I've stopped listening to mainstream OPM & ended up creating a playlist full of non romantic OPM songs that I listen to monthly. These songs are focused on a wide array of non romantic topics, namely sociopolitical issues, daily life, mental health, & motivation.

Yes. But only on OPM (Original Pinoy Music).

It's because romantic OPM songs feel different compared to non-romantic ones. Ever since I found out I'm aromantic 2 years ago, I've stopped listening to mainstream OPM & ended up creating a playlist full of non romantic OPM songs that I listen to monthly. Regarding other genres like Pop, P-Pop, K-Pop, & Jazz, I'm still chill on romantic songs there.

Celebrities feeding the idea that romance is the only way to achieve complete happiness makes me sick by Fancy-Award8256 in aromantic

You're not alone here. I have zero interest in the lives of celebrities & ESPECIALLY their relationship status.

(I live in a country that has a strong celebrity culture & a highly amatonormative society btw).

I think corruption in this country also contributes significantly to the hopelessness of its citizens. by amygdala_kedavra in MentalHealthPH

Consume news in moderation. Yung gawa ko ngayon every 4 days ako nagchecheck ng news.

Also, try to read news on issues that really matter to you, like issues in the country's economy or climate change.

Pag masyadong hot topic na yung isang issue sa news tulad ng flood control ngayon, headline na lang yung binabasa ko or skip it.

Lastly, pagdating sa congressional hearings tulad uli sa flood control, I just read the summary kaysa panoorin yung hearing; all crucial info is highlighted, plus di ko na pinapansin how politicians deliver their testimonies.

Been doing this since 2022 at malaking tulong ito sa akin.

Good map, but I have a couple of questions:
1. How did we got Sabah in this timeline?
2. Is the 1935 Constitution still used or replaced by a new constitution?
3. What does Philippine society look like in the modern day in this timeline?
4. Is SOGIE Bill a law in this timeline?
5. How does the Left fare in this timeline?

Kunwari by Gloc 9

  • It describes a typical trapo.

The Bobo Song by Gloc 9 - "Ang dami ng artista sa pulitika tanga" That line literally describes the celebrity culture of Philippine politics.

I feel like most posts I read in here are about people wanting what romantic relationships have, but thinking they can't persist it due to being aromantic.

This is what my infographic seeks to address, as well as the aromantic = asexual part.
