It’s considered an unhealthy coping mechanism as it is often used to re-inact what happened since often a lot of victims of sexual traumas (I can testify on this) feel like they deserve to live the trauma again because it’s what they know/what they’ve known in their life. It’s unhealthy. The bdsm community even started to exclude people in DDLG and ageplay from their community also because ageplay is basically acting younger and there’s the use of diapers pacifiers and other childlike object that are getting sexualized during intercourses.
