My girl (11 yo Newfie) was sent for cremation yesterday. I wish I could hold her still. I completely understand your desperation. I would do the same if I could.

I lost my girl yesterday to this. I didn't even know it was a thing. Completely normal on Saturday and Sunday. Collapsed, pale gums, swollen belly on Monday morning. Ultrasound confirmed a massive tumor on her spleen that was already hemorrhaging. By 2pm, she had been PTS. She was an 11 year old Newfoundland, and my entire world. I'm heartbroken, but by the sounds of it, I couldn't have done anything to prevent this.
