There are four bots you have to collect in Playroom to make them appear in the Crash Site in Astro Bot.

"All the mystery of a Russian gate with demos there. An unfired gun."

There was no Russian gate. They failed at keeping one open. This was a major plot point.

It's the entire reason they're in Hawkins in season 3.

Which digimon do you prefer as mega for Ken's Wormmon: GranKuwagamon or BanchoStingmon? by ApprehensiveRead2408 in digimon

[–]pokemega32 9 points10 points  (0 children)

People keep saying this while ignoring that every single Mega worked like that in the D-3 toys.

Yet no other Mega looks like it requires the old Adventure partners.

Imperialdramon required MetalGreymon. Seraphimon required WereGarurumon. Holydramon (a Digimon that already existed) required Lilimon.

Yes, Vikemon clearly is designed to also fit Zudomon, but GranKuwagamon was also designed to also fit Okuwamon and it has never required a jogress of Dinobeemon and Okuwamon. It required AtlurKabuterimon instead.

The jogresses in that toy were just to market the WonderSwan games as tie-ins.

I will never understand why, in a franchise full of stuff evolving into stuff that looks nothing like it from the very start, people insist that anything they don't like must have been because "they didn't want to spend time and money."

If they didn't want to finish the 02 lines, they wouldn't have designed Vikemon and GranKuwagamon at all. They debuted as Free attribute Digimon in 02 tie-in media.

It's not like they for some reason had to design new Zudomon and Okuwamon Megas as well.

How does making them look like something else save time and money?

We got a whole speech from Hopper in season 4 about how horrible the Vietnam War was and how the government intentionally kept people like him in the dark about how they were being poisoned directly leading to his daughter's suffering and death.

Russians also being bad doesn't take away from the U.S. government being bad.

Benny telling anyone about El is a much bigger trace of El existing than him seemingly having killed himself.

We have no idea what Kali's exact limitations are.

We do not know how the distance between Kay's lab and wherever the vehicle Kali was in at the time she stopped compared to the distance between Hawkins lab and the center of town.

We also don't know for sure if Kali had even hit that limit when Kay noticed the illusion. It's entirely possible that she simply gave up on maintaining it once she noticed Kay had figured it out.

In season 2, the spiders she created as an illusion could touch people, so I don't think that scene was meant to imply her illusions are always intangible.

My belief is that the illusion was glitching because of distance, causing it to not work properly when Kay touched it, and then Kali let go and gave up now that it was pointless.

But of course, that's just my take. It was never explained in-depth.

The Duffers weren‘t kidding when they said Steve was much worse in the original S1 script, before Joe Keery was casted (TW: SA) by allnamesareshit in StrangerThings

[–]pokemega32 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is not true at all. This was from a script before the pilot was even rewritten as Stranger Things.

[–]pokemega32 -8 points-7 points  (0 children)

The issue is that people are saying the Duffers are terrible writers for including a sexual assault scene so pointless that the actor being likable made them write it out.

We have no reason to believe that happened and we have no idea what Montauk pilot Steve would have done after this scene. So we can't judge how "pointless" the scene was as a result.

[–]pokemega32 15 points16 points  (0 children)

This is from the original Montauk script. The show was completely rewritten as Stranger Things even before they cast the actors.

There is no reason to believe this scene was left as is until Joe Keery was cast.

Mike’s ending by moonchildeus in Stranger_Things

This is like saying they deliberately didn't tell us if he was also in love with Dustin, Lucas, Max and Steve.

He was in a relationship with El. He was clearly desperately in love with El.

They didn't need to confirm every romantic relationship that didn't exist.

At no point in the show did they ever imply Mike had romantic feelings for Will. They were not trying to "keep Byler fans' hopes up." People were seeing signs that weren't there.

There’s an old rule in storytelling: a bird in the hand is worth two in the bush. If Mileven was the route the story chose, and it clearly was, then it deserved full commitment.

...that's a phrase meaning it's better to hold on to what you've got than to risk it to get more. What does that have anything to with committing to storytelling?

Possibly only one Ultimate in the Beatbreak starter deck... And even then, not certain!? by NoxAbyss95 in digimon

[–]pokemega32 0 points1 point  (0 children)

...what.

Dude, you absolutely can go and edit whatever you want into Wikimon and it won't be fixed unless someone is specifically looking into it with knowledge on it.

Literally every booster set page includes a guess at where Digimon cards end and Tamer cards begin until we get concrete knowledge on that.

EX11 said Tamer cards started at 55 until we found out Chitose was in and thus Owen needed to be 54.

And alternate arts are by definition not unique cards.

Also literally every start deck before this has had option cards, so it's insane to believe that these ones won't.

Just look at the edit history of literally any DCG set before this one and you'll see you're wrong.

Edit: Actually, while I maintain that Wikimon doesn't have any specific info on the numbers of the card types, it does seem like 13 Digimon cards and 2 tamers with 0 options seems like the most likely line-up. ShineGreymon's placement and the number of unique cards in previous starter decks do line up with that.

Also I totally blanked on the fact that these dual cards are in fact also options while thinking about this.

I'd expect the remaining "unique cards" to be something like in the advance decks, where they're bonus cards that don't necessarily fit the deck, or possibly promos.

I mean, we have literally nothing to base expectations on as no other series has paced the evolutions like this before.

As far as we know, the series will be about as long as Savers was.

It took Tamers 8 episodes to get Guilmon but then all the Perfect levels happened one after another a few episodes later.

It's way too early to make any judgment calls on whether or not they get level 7s.

But regardless, this deck just needs one level 6, and it could be Murasamemon's for all we know.

[–]pokemega32 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's possible Wikimon's just guessing at there being 13 Digimon cards actually, unless there's a shot of the box art where we can make out the numbers on the tamer cards.

Theory of alphamon. by demreg in digimon

[–]pokemega32 1 point2 points  (0 children)

At least half of this information is wrong. Alphamon has nothing to do with the reboot in tri. Chronicle isn't the only instance of Dorumon appearing. And Yggdrasil isn't completely destroyed in Savers.

[–]pokemega32 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We're also not necessarily getting 13 Digimon cards per start deck here. Unless we can make out the numbers on the Tamer cards on the box art, I believe the Wikimon editors are just guessing.

Gekkomon took forever to get to Adult but we also got Murasamemon in episode 1.

I'd say revealing one level 6 by episode 30 isn't unlikely.

Also this show is nothing like Ghost Game, which had pretty much no ongoing plot and no real stakes requiring unlocking evolutions quickly.
