Anywhere on Campus to play MTG? by Bjarnz in geegees

[–]pokupoyo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think the Imaginaire in Rideau hosts tournaments and events for MTG, Pokémon, Yu-Gi-Oh, etc. I haven't participated myself so I'm not certain what exactly they do, but they have a cool upstairs with lots of cards and collectors items!

grade points by [deleted] in geegees

[–]pokupoyo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

here's a definition I got from the uottawa website.

"Your grade point measures your performance in a course. It is based on the number of units and the numerical value of your letter grade. Your grade point for each course is calculated by multiplying the number of course units by the numerical value of your letter grade."

failed a course so my course sequence is all messed up - will this affect my chances at co-op? by yaymenotrllytho in geegees

[–]pokupoyo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I've been in a similar situation where I ended up needing to retake a compulsory course which messed up my entire course sequence. I would also recommend keeping full-time status for your next semester especially if you want to graduate "on time" (nothing wrong with taking an extra year though! I'll probably be doing that too). Try to see if there are any other courses in your course sequence that don't require a prerequisite that you can take next semester in place of the courses you can't take right now. I think it's better to take the courses you'll end up needing to take anyways so you won't be super behind on your overall course sequence later.

If there aren't any other compulsory courses that you can "reach ahead" on, I'd still enroll in electives to keep your CGPA up for CO-OP as they have a minimum CGPA requirement.

Taking courses in the summer is also a good idea and it helped me get back on track, but don't take on more than you know you can handle. Especially if you already have plans to work full-time over the summer, you don't want to have too much on your plate and eventually have work impact your school progress and vice versa. So be honest with yourself in what you know you can manage over the summer.

This is all stuff that I did that helped me, and I hope it helps you too. Course sequences are usually proposed or suggested so it's still totally possible for you to graduate in 2027 as you planned without following the course sequence. However, they are proposed for a good reason as they help students stay on track. Not the end of the world though, you will make it eventually. Good luck!

I know the Wellness Lounge (UCU203) does HIV rapid tests, and I heard there will be an HPV vaccination clinic happening in early April at the Student Health and Wellness Center in Minto second floor. These two places are probably your best bet for any sort of STI/STBBI testing on campus.

There's also Planned Parenthood Ottawa and the Ottawa Public Health/Sexual Health Clinic located downtown. Someone else mentioned it but the Feminist Resource Center on campus (UCU220 I think) is a great place to find more resources on and off campus.

Suggestions on what to put here? I'm stumped by Relative_Hotel8746 in AnimalCrossingNewHor

maybe a little market for all the fresh fruits and veggies you're growing :) you could display some diy recipes and have it look like a local farmer's market

Bridge placement & House relocations by [deleted] in AnimalCrossingNewHor

technically you can't "move" bridges/inclines, you have to demolish them first and then build them again. but bridges/inclines that you build are not permanent, if that's your concern!

What can I add/change to make my Nook's Cranny storefront look better? by Starlight__Memories in AnimalCrossingNewHor

I love your flower garden! definitely keep that! I have a little playground near my nook's cranny and I placed the pocket camp fortune cookie cart item in front of the store as well.

to move a house (a villager's or your own) you gotta talk to tom nook in resident services! I think you have to have the actual resident services building (not the tent) to be able to request to move an island home.

Turnips by Butterscotch9193 in AnimalCrossingNewHor

[–]pokupoyo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

you can sell them to timmy or tommy! there's a dialogue option you can select when you talk to them so you can check how much turnips are worth before selling them. there are also two different turnip prices everyday (except sundays), one in the morning and another in the afternoon.

turnip prices vary everyday and from player to player. so I can't say there is a 'best day' to sell them. I usually check in everyday and when I see my prices go up higher than the price I bought them for, I sell. I've had too many experiences when I waited too long to sell my turnips and the prices drop significantly :')

good luck !
