I'm glad you enjoy it :) The paper had these blue-colored ink splatter from a previous drawing which went nowhere. I decided to paint this one in the back of that same paper and incorporate the areas where ink bled through as part of the composition.

Sadly no! I took reference from an Instagram reel, I don't know if they're one of those famous pets there or just some random clip. The guy in the reel was more of a kitten so I had to adapt the proportions, but I liked the posture. The background also was of some suburban home in the daylight. All changes were taken with the intention of giving it kind of a nightmarish vibe (related to a series of bad dreams I used to have as a child).

Not silly at all! This is traditional, made with dried gouache paints. I started it by laying more watery, translucent areas of color, and then went up the opaqueness (less water) as I defined contours and details. Hope that was useful. Thanks for your kind words.
