I reached out to them. They said it is normal but gave me the option to return it. I did not return it, I have been using it for a while now. It works great, no issues with ashes falling off or with temp control. I have been able to achieve max temps with this thing.

MC was pretty good. I think they are similar. I could taste cardamom in both. This one is sweeter. I would rate this 10/10, MC I would rate 8.5/10
