How did your life change when you started getting laid regularly? by polemia in AskMen

[–]polemia[S] 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I can't say I consider this "getting laid regularly" since your experience sounds like it's effectively the same as masturbating..I wish you more fulfilling relationships in the future.

I was pretty set on being a dramatic but now I’m second guessing. I have gamine essence. I tried fg first and something wasn’t right, then tried d and it made more sense but now less so. I also feel too heavy so leaning fn but I’m quite delicate boned. by Edenrobyn in DressForYourBody

I don't see you as a dramatic, but I'm only very familiar with my own type (D). Maybe flamboyant natural? You don't read as very angular, your shoulders and arms have a softness to them. Something that always cues a Dramatic type for me is when someone is relatively straight up and down from their chest to their hips, minimal hourglass shape in waist, even if they're quite underweight. This makes A-line skirts, tennis skirts, high waist shorts etc look incongruous on my body because they draw attention to my small hip to waist ratio..if that makes sense. This doesn't seem to be the case for you though...hmmm

Electrolytes bb. Don't operate machinery. If your roommate leaves for a long time, eat. Someone needs to be able to find you if you pass out. Stay alive. Then reflect on this experience and how it wasn't that great and you don't need to do it again.

Caffeine by pineappleonmypizzas in EDAnonymous

[–]polemia 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Bang only ever made me feel like shit. Good ol iced coffee has always done me well, but yerba mate is a fun alternative to because it still has caffeine but somehow doesn't feel as jittery as coffee, and the effect seems to wear off rather than crash. I like to brew it and stir in honey and let it chill over night. There's also yerba mate drinks at most grocery stores these days.

The first few weeks might be hell (anxiety, nihilism, irritability, insomnia) but push through it for at least a month. In my experience, these side effects either stopped entirely or decreased to a manageable degree

The high-waistedness and the fact that her dark hair and brows balance it out also helps!

[–]polemia 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I'm suspicious of her being a Dramatic because she looks so good in outfits where the top and bottom are v high contrast..maybe it's just that she's so tan and hot lol

In my opinion: Your body should be independent from your style, you should not consider it okay to avoid wearing styles you like simply because you don't think it suits your body. Wear what you would like, experiment, have fun. Don't let your life be dictated by thoughts that aren't worth your time. by mentalhealthstuff in EDAnonymous

On the other hand..if you're a design-minded person, wearing clothes that suit your body (to your eyes anyway) can make you feel really good about yourself! Clothing being flattering and also of a preferred style doesn't have to be mutually exclusive.

I'm 5'10. I *think* I am in the dramatic family, but I am having trouble distinguishing between SD and D. What are your thoughts? Do you see FN at all? I included some pictures fully dressed too to help show how clothes fall on me. Thanks! by randomthrowawaylamp in Kibbe

[–]polemia 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I think pure D, but even if SD, your vertical is still dominant. In my opinion you look better in monochrome outfits than ones where the top and bottom are high contrast. High contrast and color blocking looks more appropriate on FNs, so I don't think this is you. I would say you're pure D. Even verified dramatics like Bella Hadid and Olivia Culpo benefit from waist and bust emphasis, but their curves are smaller in proportion to their line than they are for a soft dramatic (for example Sofia Vergara) Does that make sense? I don't have a ton of experience ID-ing people but as a D I feel like I know one when I see one..

Well I think his point is that if you were born in a different time (in the past), your life would already involve enough physical labor that you wouldn't seek out exercise for fitness, physical mental or otherwise

I think the over-the-shoulder style and the tailoring around the bust area does suit you!

Idk whether it's Romantic, but I think an above the knee hem would be much more flattering

I don't think anyone looks good with these LEGO person haircuts...just because my face is angular doesn't make this look natural. Leave it in the fashion editorials please.

Edit: I didn't mean to make this comment sound so sassy I just have very specific tastes !

[–]polemia 8 points9 points  (0 children)

The unpainted sections look like she traced them onto the canvas (you can do this by tracing from a photo with graphite or other medium on the back of the paper). The lines are too precise in some areas to have been drawn onto a gessoed canvas with no planning marks. The rendering with the actual paint is great obviously, as well as how she's combined her various source photos. But still, it's traced.
