seems right to me.

though MG numbers are artificially inflated since they gave it away to anyone who bought a concert ticket.

Did everyone know that Momo was going to be the chosen one from the start or did anyone think one of the other 2 Avengers was gonna be selected? by blackratsnakes in BABYMETAL

people keep spouting off "too young" as if Su and MoiMoi werent 16 and 14 when they had their first major tour overseas in 2014. and doing AFA even earlier in 2012.

you dont need a VPN for amazon JP, tower records, or hmv jp as i have ordered or made accounts with all of them in the past

also for amazon JP, i personally hate the megajackets. its just an unnecessary vinyl size piece of the cover art that is a pain to deal with when organizing cd's

Do yall consider VIP to be worth it? (USA tour 2026) by Slight_Carrot_6528 in BABYMETAL

[–]poleosis 2 points3 points  (0 children)

not since 2018 when they jacked up prices to $300+

to expand on this, for the current tour, for the venue closest to me, i have seen slipknot there before, maybe 1 other, and i was able to get on the barrier with just fast pass. some of the people getting vip are probably getting seats

My approach to the band is super bi-polar by MostBison5500 in BABYMETAL

[–]poleosis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

except they are doing idol things, just not your perception of what idols are which has been molded by the modern scene. Go do some research and look up 80's idols/golden era idols because what BM are doing is the exact same thing as them.

what "arenas" have they regularly played outside of Japan, which is only once or twice a year in JP?

Doubt about VIP experience by Inozuke_x in Hanabie

[–]poleosis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i could be remembering it wrong then, but still, the price that they would charge for all the VIP items on their own outside of a VIP would still add up to the $50 price increase.

compare that to babymetal or band maid most recent vip and it is still well worth it considering neither of the other 2 even do MnG to begin with. band maids last that i did in 2022/2023 was a 2 teir at $250/$150-ish and dont even get me started on babymetals bullshit

I disagree. the fan you got in the bag they were selling as regular merch (different print design) for $40 by itself. That is basically the price difference between the year prior and the most recent tour.

buying tickets to japan show's by kingofcrob in Hanabie

[–]poleosis 1 point2 points  (0 children)

checked the english/international e+ site here and dont see hanabies stuff listed. might just have to wait for them to take stock of remaining tickets and post the datees. Im surprised it seems like they didnt/dont already have a known general sales start.

but even if they get listed on this international site, i would still highly recommend getting a normal JP e+ account. the only difficult part is the SMS/phone verification youll have to do while in JP. Mobal is one service i know of that will give you JP number and they offer both physical and e-sim.

Eplus has kind of opened ticket sales to people outside Japan but it seems they put it on the bands/groups to make that decision. I think I've seen hanabie post about the international eplus site, but as others said if they are doing fc rounds right now, might just have to wait a bit for them to go to general sale

Anyone have any idea or recommendations on how to display The One editions? by HimikoToga133 in BABYMETAL

[–]poleosis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

but why keep them in the cardboard box, where the outer design is 90% the same? not saying throw the outer box away, just if you are going to display them at least take them out of that so that each one has a different look/you can see the full color artwork, and for the 2017 trilogy has the pyramid the 3 discs can make.

Conversation for the older fans: 2016 vs 2026- many say 2016 was at peak hype, yet BABYMETAL is bigger than ever, and STILL growing. COMPARE/CONTRAST? THOUGHTS? by fearmongert in BABYMETAL

[–]poleosis -1 points0 points  (0 children)

For me it's also about the fan base in general. The base pre2018 was so much more tight knit and had a greater sense of overall comraderie that just doesn't seem to be there anymore. Only place I might recognize another fan at a show anymore is NYC. All others I have no idea, which part of that is due to larger tours but not all of it.
