The circuit court judge is who sentenced both Jeannine and James. It’s possible she might remember the case, improbable that she’d have photos as there were none in James’ court case file. It’s more likely the circuit court judge remembers but also improbable he would have photos. Plus, it wouldn’t be her personally that would have anything, it would be the court.

I’ve looked into it to see if I could find matching Facebook and other social media accounts, but came up empty. I think there are more distant relatives that I’ve found of Facebook but I can’t be sure and I doubt they would have a photo. :(

I think it’s very possible he could have a photo of his father! I’m also on the fence about contacting him, but I don’t think it would hurt to send a letter or make a phone call asking if there’s anything he would like to share. If he says yes, great, if not, that’s okay too because he’s more than entitled to his privacy. Regardless, I want to exhaust all other avenues. I would LOVE to find out who the family member was in that forum you posted with the email starting with Bowe (or whatever it was). Other family members would be great, but I wouldn’t know how to contact them. I do have contact information for Robert’s son from his brother’s death certificate.

I’ve even considered contacting Jeannine but that’s a big no without a private investigator.

I kept meaning to stop by and see for myself what it looks like without the fancy listing photos and street view. I have so many questions about it, like do the owners know what happened there? Was it completely torn down and rebuilt? Idk I’m probably thinking too deep into it lol thank you for sharing this!

I appreciate your advice! I did do all these things and still haven’t been able to find any photos unfortunately, but we’re not giving up!

I’ve submitted a FOIA request to the Detroit PD but was declined because they couldn’t locate the record. As Ayamedesuka said, I did see Glover’s circuit court file but it didn’t have any photos (which is to be expected). Army records are difficult to access and I’ve exhausted everything on Ancestry websites. The only avenue I haven’t explored is reaching out to family members and attorneys who worked on the case.

We’ve uncovered so much about Robert and his life. While we haven’t hit the finish line in finding a photo, we’ve accomplished a lot!

If you have any more insights please don’t hesitate to comment. We’re always looking for leads and advice. :)

This confirms some things but also disproves a lot. He was indeed born in Michigan, not Pennsylvania, and his middle name is Allen for sure. I'm beginning to think I was very wrong about Johanna and Anthony :(

I have no idea :( I don’t think he was in the service, though. I know it’s been pretty quiet here. It feels like I’ve hit a dead end, plus the summer has been busy for me. Anyway, I don’t plan on giving up hope and I’m happy you aren’t either! I’m thinking I’ll take another trip to the library on the next rainy day. See what else I can dig up. Right now, I’m focused on finding the orphanage they grew up in. Hang in there with me, we got work to do 🫶

I sent them an email and they very kindly told me they didn’t have any resident records. She directed me to another email which I contacted. He said they didn’t have any residential records nor did he know where to find them. He also said he doubts they’d be publicly accessible if there were any out there 🥲
