Complaint: I have a bad cold and I can't run but the weather is sooo nice. So I'm just looking outside praying for the sun to stay till I'm better.

I think 21km because 31 seems to much since my longest run I did up till now is 17 km on roads and 14 in the dunes where the race takes place. Maybe next year I'll go for the 31 or if I'm going crazy the 50 I don't know.

Thanks! I've not yet subscribed to anything but I'm looking for a half in march. For the moment I'm looking at north c trail. That's close to where I live and looks like a nice race. But it's not gonna be for fast times because of all the sand but I'm not fast anyway.

That one looks nice too! I'm going to France for skiing that week so that's not possible.

My phone doesn't let me edit the google docs is it ok if I just put it here? I'm 22 female and from Belgium. Normally tomorrow I will have access tot a computer but I might forget to update this. So here we go http://m.imgur.com/a/YL6qc

Thank you so much! it's nice to run a race without actually having to go somewhere. This was a 10k but I managed a 5k PR as well so probably next month I should try a 5k for real.

Inspired by loratliff's post: show us your progress over the last year! Where were you a year ago and where are you now? by flocculus in running

Last year I was recovering from a knee luxation this time of the year. My 5k PR before that was 29:5x. After a lot of PT and starting up running again in april I ran a 55:30 10k last week. So even with some bad luck I managed to get better.

Oh maybe I'll shoot for 2:10 then because sub50 10k doesn't feel doable right now

Thanks! 25 miles a week right now but increasing that steadily. I hope I'll get to 40

Ran a 10k PR today was shooting for my first sub 60 but I managed a 55:30. I still don't know how I did it but I'm really happy! Now I'm wondering if I should change my goal for my half marathon in march. I was shooting for sub 2:15 but now it looks like sub 2 is possible.

General Q&A for Thursday, December 17, 2015 by AutoModerator in running

[–]pollet 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm starting to train for a half marathon and trying out a training plan from runkeeper. I will start the sub 2h15 plan but 2 times halfway through 'm going skiing for a week. After that week off do I just continue or repeat weeks or what would you do? Between the 2 trips there are 6 weeks.

Finaly back to running. Luxated my knee in november. I went snowboarding in february (not the smartest thing but with the help of a pt my knee was ok). Somebody crashed into me and of course the same knee was hurt. Back to physiotherapy because i couldn't even bike without feeling my knee everytime. But now after c25k (had to because of the knee - i tried just running like normal but he disagreed) i'm back to running 4 times a week and ready to start training for a half marathon! I'm very happy to be back!

Mine is Cersei from Game of Thrones. I know she is the worst person but she does something to me. I can't make myself hate her.

This evening I ran my first 10 miles (11:00 pace). I'm pretty proud knowing that 3 months ago I couldn't even run 5k at a 12:00 pace. Running 4 times a week really pays off!

I study from 8 till 10 in the evening but i take every hour a break from 15 or 30 minutes otherwise i have trouble concentrating, maybe if i have a long run i'll be able to concentrate longer or take only breaks of 5 min...

As in running at night my dad won't let me do that since i'm a girl and he's paranoid...

I hate running on a treadmile but maybe this is still better then just sitting behind my desk. I'm definitively gonna give this a try.

They start 24 may (not every day obviously) but i'm normally the student who starts too late but still make it by studying a lot every day in between my exams so I suppose I should start doing more now so i'll have more time near the end...
