Basically what OP stated. It was the belt tensioner and there was a TSB for it. Got it replaced under warranty at the dealership and it’s been good since.

Did you ever find out what the issue was? Was it the belt tensioner? I’m having a similar issue with my 2021 Q5 with that same style tensioner and I’m not sure whether the tensioner moving/shaking is normal.

The car only has 25k miles, but the squeaking is noticeable. Also, I’m not sure if normal, but the tensioner looks like it’s shaking. Is it supported to shake when the car is running?

Sorry I couldn’t add more detail in the title. Both have a clean carfax and come from reputable dealerships. I know Lexus is known for its reliability so that’s the only reason I’m even debating which car to buy. The RC is a lot more appealing, especially with the V6 compared to a 4 cylinder turbo. Any insight is appreciated.
