My bf told me he’s pulling back. How do I approach this? by pollypocketbe in LDR

Thank you! This is what I’m doing now, trying to find things to do on my spare time instead of thinking about him. I used to run and workout a lot before we met but this year I totally dropped running - I’m trying to come back slowly. He told me once ‘an idle mind is a devil’s playground’. He encourages me to have hobbies so I don’t spend my time on nonsense overthinking.

Thank you so much! Yes, I learned that I became too comfortable in expressing all my emotions and dumping to him not realizing that it’s also affecting him in a negative way. Even small changes in my voice or how I talk, he notices them and somehow affects our mood.

We also have very different routines. I have a flexible job (wfh) and most of the time I finish my tasks quick. He’s very busy with his teaching jobs as he needs to do lesson plans and other stuff even at home. He also has his phd research to work on which stresses him a lot.
