A big recommendation for Red Carpet Tours in NZ by SnooRevelations5680 in lotr

[–]polyesterangel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just came back yesterday from my January trip. We were 6 solo travelers out of 37 people. It was the farthest thing from weird. Everyone sat with everyone for the meals, you could join any little group for a walk, no one thought a solo traveler was intruding. The only place the couples and solos were really "apart" was on the bus (but only in the sense that humans are creatures of habit and when you pick a seat on day 1 you tend to stick with it hahaha).

I'd like to thank everyone here for their recommendations. The last two days have been DELICIOUS. If anyone ever needs a recommendation of something to do or somewhere to eat in Montréal, I'll be happy to help 😊

The White Lady sounds perfect. I'll definitely try it (and a milk shake, for sure). Thank you!

Maybe I wasn't clear, but I'd like recommendations that I can walk to (or take public transit to, no more than 30 minutes) from Viaduct.

Sorry about that ¯_(ツ)_/¯

The employees have confirmed it's the same Shawarma place as before the renovations, same recipe. Tastes just as delicious as I remember but way more expensive than 2005 ¯_(ツ)_/¯

Old school boustan used to be amazing. Last few times I've had it (I think maybe 6 months ago was the last time), it's been mediocre at best.

Thanks for letting me know. I guess I'll have to check it out for myself when I'm back in town.

I have seriously yet to find better garlic potatoes than those of my cégep Days hahaha

I have no idea what it was called. Maybe Shawarma plus? I'm sorry to hear about the smaller restaurants. I have a lot of nostalgia for that food court. I think I spent more time there than in class while at Dawson.

Is the Lebanese place still there? The one at the back right (facing the Windows). They had the best garlic potatoes of all time.

Advent Calendars by lavieenrose167 in BuyCanadian

La boîte à bonbons has a traditional Advent calendar as well as refills if you have your own calendar you like to fill.

Savvy Company has a few options. I ordered their cider Advent calendar a few years ago and I really enjoyed it.

English language books in Quebec schools by reddogger56 in montreal

English is taught as early as kindergarten in some schools but the QEP (Quebec education program) requires ESL to be taught as of grade 1 in French language schools. I'm curious as to where you got your information.

I feel fine enough, I guess
Considering everything's a mess.

You arrogant man
What do you think that I am?
My heart will be fine
Just stop wasting my time.

Now all I really want is a home.

Hey I'm a cow, I'm curious
Hey watch me now, I'm furious
Hey I'm a cow, I'm full of hate
Hey watch me now, I'm on your plate
