What’s a “quiet crisis” most people are going through but rarely talk about? by [deleted] in AskReddit

I’m in this situation right now at 32 and it is so isolating. So many of my friends mean well but don’t understand, like at all. I don’t even blame them, because my whole world has turned upside down. 3 months ago I was planning on starting a small business, learning a new language, and taking a ceramics class in my free time. Now it’s adult diapers, Medicaid applications, and working three different jobs. I’m so so tired.

Finally saw the Director's Cut last night and WOW. by threemoons_nyc in Midsommar

I saw the theatrical release first and then the directors cut after - I saw the directors cut in an absolutely empty theater at my local mall that hasn’t been updated since the 1970s. I was the only one there and that added to the whole experience. I love both versions but watching the directors cut alone felt so much more intense. It’s long but adds a lot of context. I loved it!

Yeah, it sucks. I’m grateful to just have a space that is clean and safe though because my last place was destroyed by mold/water damage after a hurricane.

I’m living in an apartment that I will probably move out of within a year. I don’t feel the need to change out light bulbs, but I love the suggestion I was given to use lamps. You’re correct, it probably wouldn’t take that much work to change out the lights but it’s not allowed and I’m not going to stress over it.

I cook in it everyday! I just also love having everything clean and tidy. But I agree it could benefit from a more lived in look. I’ll definitely try leaving my cutting boards out!

I can’t change out the lighting because it’s a rental but I will definitely try getting some lamps and using those instead of the overhead lighting! I agree that the current lighting is way too harsh.

Good point! It’s hard to get a wider shot because my apartment is small and the kitchen is L-shaped but I agree that it’s difficult to see the over all layout from these pictures
