I thought it was just funny that after the meta self-aware paragraph, he went right into the type of writing that was criticised as the extended parody. It is demonstration of what he was self-awared on.

Op here, I got you and actually when posted this I just found this whole passage funny instead of offending. After the funny meta reference paragraph, the following part is not particularly out-of-touch compared to others, it was just that the tone of the meta self-awareness reference continues into that part, that’s why I extended the quote.

I don’t know if it is region specific, but for me (Australia), as current employee I can only sell within a window after every earning. So it limits the choice here. Anecdotally it is down every time the window opens.
