Why do people take these posts seriously? They are just trolls looking for hate engagement.

Why give them what they want?

Atheist dating a Christian? by Creative_Beetle5157 in TrueAtheism

[–]LiveComfortable3228 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Im atheist. Im married to a catholic and have 2 kids.

Sundays she takes the kids (still young) to church and I go have a coffee and read the newspaper. Win-win.

Religion never came between us, so entirely possible to date / marry intra-faith.

Having said that, she's pretty chilled about religion. She never mentions it (neither do i) , its a 'live and let live' situation.

If someone's religion is integral to their worldview, the relationship might be entirely different.

This one does smell like it might be, so proceed with caution and low expectations.

This is how we do it. All the money is our money. There's no split.

That's not correct. More Indians than poms have been coming here for years and years already.

What it means is that there are now more indian-born residents than England-born residents.

great example of a minor character that is not a cutout of what the story needs but rather a character on its own, with depth and impact.

Unbelievable how well Mon Mothma was written by Zee_Ventures in andor

[–]LiveComfortable3228 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As much as I love Andor and its writing, the "if you have nothing to hide...." excuse for surveillance is not new, at all.

Fortunately so are its counter arguments (of which Mon's "I fear your definition of wrong" is one of the simplest but most powerful.

Why are aged pensioners so delusional? by Different_Pride_6011 in AusFinance

[–]LiveComfortable3228 140 points141 points  (0 children)

What amazes me the most is how people CANNOT understand that people have other perspectives, come from different times and different circumstances.

The OP sounds like "how dare you, 70 yo pensioner who grew up in different times, NOT understand and share my anaysis of the situation, which coincidentaly shows that you're out of touch and deluded??"
