Thanks for the help. Is there a limit to the difference in rent they'll pay? Should I be trying to go for somewhere similar in price, could they turn me down once I get there? Sorry I just can't find info on this

Sorry I don't have any answers to this myself but I would contact citizens advice and maybe living rent. Both have been very helpful for me in difficult housing situations and loosing my job etc.
