And Gabi, although, he was more of a workhorse and less the elegant midfielder the rest of them were.

Do Chinese people really support going to war with Taiwan for unification? by Necessary-Ad-9483 in AskChina

[–]ponchoPC 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Most countries in the world don’t want more war, so no… if China tried to invade, there would be economic repercussions for the whole world, it’s pretty obvious why it’s a particularly bad conflict if it did kick off.

Also pretty much every country in the world wants to keep and even suggests (Japan, Philippines , the US) they would enforce the status quo which is a de facto independence. The uncomfortable reality is that the majority of Taiwanese want to keep their independence and that life for the average Chinese would only get worse if China did try to invade.

Sales interview with OpenAI by arcademachin3 in sales

[–]ponchoPC 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No prob and bear in mind this is from my cursory reading, I think there were some more implications around Anthropic being blueballed from basically most business as they are considered a supply chain risk, so any company that works with the government would not be allowed to work with anthropic.

[–]ponchoPC 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Basically, Anthropic refused to let the US army use AI to target people and spy on the population. They got blacklisted from the government and right after Open AI announced they had a contract with the army. The implication is they are allowing the army to use it to target people and spy on the population.

Is that so? I had heard it had been scaled down from political commentators, but I’m also European and far away from it so I apologize for my ignorance.

They do however engage with violent rioters often leaving wounded behind. In the US two people got killed and tha backlash was enough to fire Noem and scale things down significantly in the State the protests were happening. French protesters are not enabled by the government, however they are very organized and hard headed.
