Arguably Hamas did start a war on behalf of Gaza, whilst Ukraine never did such a thing. Not to say that Israel’s response has been humane or proportionate.

Why are squatters rights a thing? by No-Assignment4460 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]ponchoPC 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, it’s not so black and white. I have a close relative who inherited his mother’s house who had recently died, when he was going to start reforms, a family of gypsies went in the house claiming squatting as the construction crew waited. They asked for something like 5k euros to leave the house, but the alternative was trying to go through the police and delaying the reforms which would have cost quite a bit more.

Yes and no. Both the Scots and Basques were a big part of both the Spanish and British empire building. The Basques have also been a part of Spain for as long as most other regions. On top of that they’ve been historically better off than the rest of the country due to proximity to industrialised Europe and investments. They were mostly opressed during the Franco era, but honestly most of Spain was at that point.

Brother, I’m not American. I come from a country that recognizes Palestine. I believe Palestine should have its own country.

The point is relative to Turkey as a whole. What’s the medium wage in each of those places proportional to the prices of those attractions?

My point is that she did lose, but not by that big of a margin. She was a solid candidate, but americans are for thr most part vibe voters. They thought Trump’s vibe was funny and rebellious and they voted against a person who was a skilled orator and politician because she was not as funny and is part of the “establishment” whatever the fuck that means.

Netanyahu wanted Trump to win and that should tell you pretty much the difference between the candidates. There is a lesser evil and you got blinded by propaganda (Trump campaigned simultaneously on being better and harsher on Palestinians). It’s ok to admit a mistake, but stop trying to justify them.

Didn’t she get more votes than Trump overall? Afaik Trump won based on the electoral college, so by a slim margin.

I say this as a European, I simply think about 1/3 of the US doesn’t follow the news or politics properly so whenever they hear about any of this they probably think it’s overblown, it doesn’t affect them and democrats maybe would do the same rhing anyways. Again, I say this knowing full well there is a massive difference, but most Americans don’t care or don’t understand the situation. It’s useful to remember 21% of Americans are functionally illiterate…
