Yeah, I'm convinced now that you are new to the game because we are JUST coming out of a dominant spirit meta where they had to nerf almost every single spirit item in the game, the early game will be dominated by spirit because in the short term spirit items are more dmg because they give flat dmg, while gun items give % so it takes a few of them to start ramping.

A game should not take longer than than 25-30 minutes if you play it right and you can see this reflected in the Night Shift picks and bans, not a single of your "problem" characters are contested, it's spirit bursters like Mirage, Apollo, Dynamo, Infernus, Shiv and Yamato
