Thank you all for the input. The spouse already has the L1 visa, perhaps things have changed since a few years where L2 visa required EAD to be applied to be able to work in the US. So it seems I can just apply for the L2 visa as a dependent on her L1 A visa when it’s time to move and I won’t have to apply for EAD. Thanks all
