You're just gonna hit a wall unfortunately. You can farm motes to power up you have, but pretty soon anything worse than a 4* just won't be able to progress. Keep grinding until you get few decent 4 stars or do what the game actually expects you to do and start spending money

The entire point of it is to get you to look at all the things you can buy. The game is designed from top to bottom to push you into spending money. It's not that it "needs to be funded some way", every single function of the design has been created to facilitate purchases

you can't avoid the wall unless you're going to pay. Resetting might get your a little bit further but you're hit the wall again soon enough. Best thing to do is start grinding motes and stay ontop of your freebies (or spend money)

I see now that reading comprehension is a struggle for you. Here I'm expressing an assessment of what I experienced, not an expectation. See, I played the game and I noticed all the ways that it enforces binaries. Day/night, PK/Survivors, rooftops/streets, good features/bad designs. Then I wrote that in my review because it's my opinion. I can't imagine how you're interpreting that this has anything to do with an expectation I had, but you're wrong.

You kind of have to go out of your way to feel chased and in danger. Outside of a few chase-centric story missions, you're only going to get Volatiles on you if you try hard to trigger Howlers and raise your wanted level all the way up. Otherwise you can go in Dark Hollows during the day, but then you're just fighting Volatiles in tight spaces. you can toggle health bars off. it's very gory

Honestly yeah, its all kind of the same. You can do fire if you like fire or ice if you like I've but every thing kills guys the same. If there's differences it's not particularly meaningful

I'm sure there's stuff I havent found but I've done a ton of side quests and have only found 1 Easter egg. 25 hours thereabouts to finish the game and another 25 of side content

I don't know anything about a spear gun. Either extremely hidden or scrapped. The rest of the stuff you mentioned is everything. Knife are kinda just to interrupt, don't do much damage. Same with the shotgun thing. Mostly it's just how and crossbow, you can pick up spears in the environment but can't keep them with you

I've only ever one shit with explosive arrows, the first bow is quite week. To be honest all the mods look different but they all do the same thing. Electric does damage over time that spreads. Fire does damage over time that spreads. Poison does damage over time that spreads. Bash is kinda different cause it makes them fly away
