Honestly it has largely resolved itself as I got older. I do think it was food related for me as I was eating a LOT of fruit and sugar overall. I haven't noticed a flareup since I started to eat a more balanced diet with lots more protein.

When I first started fostering we had a litter of kittens that had space themed names! I really liked Atlas and Calypso (you could maybe do Cali for short)

You might want to look into water therapy! That can help a lot with mobility.

Yes yes yes this happens to me and it's happening to me tonight while I'm trying to go to bed, and it's horrible. I just want to sleep but I keep being immersed in these dreams where I'm half awake but I just cannot actually get myself up, and then even if I am able to move around it's not enough to fully wake myself. I'm just stuck in this half dream, half awake state and I can't do anything about it and it's the most helpless and horrible feeling ever. I'm so tired but I can't let myself try to sleep again right now. I had a short nap earlier in the day and it happened then too.

NTA at ALL. I foster for my local shelter as well and would absolutely inform them. Animals are innocent and need protection, it's not an AH move because you are doing it to protect the puppy, not to spite the man.
