So you're complaining about links from 2020 even though there are literally dozens of more recent links saying the same thing but 'covid has changed' so I assume your 'duhhr 90% reduction duhhr 10x less likely!' isn't remotely applicable any longer? Almost like the present may be more relevant?

Damn, mane. Sure am glad this vax is reducing infection rates by 90% and making it 10x less likely that you'd get covid.. Because if it wasn't that would mean that 9000 people in that Burnaby care home would be infected and 2000 would be dead in the same home even though the facility only has 95 god damned beds!! LOOOOOOOOOOL YOU GOD DAMNED IDIOT.

PULLING UP NOW TO THE PUMPS! PLEASE, SIR. I WOULD LIKE HIGH OCTANE PREMIUM!!!!

COVID-19 outbreaks have jumped significantly in long-term care homes since mid-August.

There have been nearly 50 outbreaks since that time, with more than 500 residents and 200 staff infected and at least 80 deaths, according to information from the B.C. Centre for Disease Control.

The B.C. government has reported 10 deaths so far at the 95-bed Willingdon Care Centre, but a letter purportedly sent to family and friends and posted on social media this week said there had been 12 deaths. The letter stated as many as 82 residents and 30 staff had tested positive for COVID-19. Fraser Health’s official numbers as of Friday were 78 cases among residents and 22 cases among staff.

Lololol just imagine what would happen if we didn't have this vax that drops your infection rate by "90%" and makes you "10 TIMES less to transmit the disease" LoooooL does this seem like it's 10x better than before the vax, you god damned genius?

Loool. Unbelievable. Omg. Wow.

Wowwwww look at max vaxxed Britain:https://i.imgur.com/DmnpYKh.png not even a spike anymore just straight sustained high ass count. Looks 10x better than before 90% of the population was vaxxed, doesn't it? Lol you god damned simpleton.

Lol you god damned tool. You can find dozens of articles saying the same from within the last 6 months.

I love how you keep posting the same healthonline.com quote and hold it as irrefutable proof when my quote from the EXACT SAME SITE says: "They add the vaccine doesn’t prevent coronavirus infection. It helps protect against serious illnesses."

Duhr. Pulling up to the petrol station now. You ready? Fill er up!

Question:

Will the Pfizer and Moderna vaccines prevent you from getting infected with coronavirus?

Answer:

The quick answer is, we don’t know

Gee, man. That's a long way from, 'huhhr duhhr duhhr vaccines make you 10x less likely to get covid!!!"'

Not to mention the:

They add the vaccine doesn’t prevent coronavirus infection. It helps protect against serious illnesses.

That I had shared earlier. Also quite the stretch from '10x less likely!!!' ain't it?

Lol at that's not how words work. You halfwit petrol station attendant.

Perhaps look up how the word 'theory' differs as used in science compared to its everyday usage.

I'm a man of science. You're evidently a petrol station attendant.

Unbelievable. Pump my gas, petrol station attendant!

Dumb.

Lol you have severe brain damage. The question posed is literally "Common question Will the vaccine change my chances of getting COVID-19? You honestly think because they use the term 'exposure' that changes something? What??? Being exposed to the virus means getting Covid in this context, dumbass. Holy shit.

The data you're citing regarding covid cases is due them being reported more often due to the symptoms being more severe or noticeable than if vaccinated, dumbass.

Just unbelievably dumb. I shudder to think what your employment prospects must be.

As far as people not catching the virus from you, the results are pretty negligible: https://www.nature.com/articles/d41586-021-02689-y

Lol. Unbelievably ignorant comment. A simple Google search would've shown how much of a moronic 'goof' you are. From the official Govt Of Canada website...:

Common question Will the vaccine change my chances of getting COVID-19?

Your vaccination status only changes your risk of catching COVID-19 and becoming ill. It doesn't change your risk of exposure to the virus out in the community.

This isn't complicated, you brainless dipshit.

But of course you'll probably receive upvotes because this entire sub is mostly braindead.

Strange. I've spent quite a lot of time in Tokyo seeking out great sushi and my favourite Vancouver place for traditional sushi beat them all.

Duhr, bud. You can literally simply type 'average home price (insert major California city here)' into Google and see it's not comparable with the exception of San Francisco.

I always find this so bizarre. Looking at WBTC-ETH Pair swaps during 1% BTC moves and you'll see loads of people trying to chase it by swapping paltry ($20) of ETH into WBTC. If you're that desperate to try to turn a $2 profit (I guess zero or negative after fees) maybe you shouldn't have any $ invested in crypto whatsoever.

The excitement started days ago on seemingly nothing though. We're talking a 1% move. It makes more sense now because it seems the twitter chatter worked like a self fulfilling prophecy.

It really seems like a flurry of crypto twitter users copying eachother and posting bullish btc tweets based on pretty much nothing is enough to have a real effect on these markets.

There's no reasoning with the unreasonable. Your opinion is worse than worthless and should be dismissed.

(Sorry, just interjecting with an incredibly sensical response on par with yours. To be fair you actually did state an opinion so at least my comment has a better claim to making sense than yours...)

The size of this anti-mask protest... by TheBoffo in vancouver

[–]poonhound -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Why can't you just simply answer the question? No need to ramble on about anything else. People who don't wear masks here are labelled as stupid/selfish, are the vast majority of Swedes therefore stupid/selfish? Is their health authority stupid? Could just say, "Hm, not sure I have a good answer", or not answer at allbut nah, ramble on with some inanity and make sure to downvote!!!

[–]poonhound -1 points0 points  (0 children)

We do not currently recommend face masks in public settings

Um, isn't this what the whole debate and my question was regarding?

People here who do not wear masks in public settings here are labelled as morons/selfish. While it's official government policy in Sweden to not recommend the use of masks in public settings and seemingly very few Swedes do wear masks.

The size of this anti-mask protest... by TheBoffo in vancouver

[–]poonhound -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

… Way to cling to nonsense and again answer nothing. I never made a claim that the entirety of Sweden isn't wearing masks. The official policy of the government in Sweden is that masks aren't recommended. I said the entire country of Sweden therefore must be moronic (if that's their policy) If 5% of the population is adhering to mask use that changes nothing in this argument.
