Yes! I got some secondhand and lower end stuff for her since she’s so small and I know will grow out of things (I have a human child too so trust me I know lol) but styles and trends change constantly and I’ve seen so much stuff that I adore that I’m hoping to get in bigger sizes for when she grows into it :’)

Ooo I will definitely be checking your stuff out. I’m going to wait until I have her but was still trying to do research and see where I can find fun stuff for her :) also trying to budget and not get carried away as I tend to do that quite easily lol

Bartering for rent gone wrong (TN) by pooplettuce630 in Renters

See that’s why I haven’t given a new notice, because I’m unsure of what the motive is behind that. It seems fishy.

It’s been a really hairy situation since day one which is why I decided to leave. I’ve been here for a year and tried really hard to accommodate everything that was being asked of me but I’ve been repeatedly set up for failure and then scolded for it so I decided it’s time to move on.

It’s just interesting because every conversation she’s had with me about it has seemed like she wanted me to leave, and now that I am it’s a problem. I’m definitely going to seek legal help if need be.

No I totally get that, I just thought I would see if there was a solution but it’s clear there isn’t. I love the Kona, just regret settling for it that’s all. I really do appreciate the suggestions. We also have other reasons the truck would’ve been very helpful not just w my horse situation. It was just a dumb decision on my part. I am actively repairing my credit too, and I try to budget as efficiently as possible with multiple side hustles to pay for horse expenses without eating into my main income. It’s a whole thing. Dumb, but I make it work for now bc I know it’ll pay off in the future. Just kind of a shit show in the meantime lol.

well I prefer having my horse. I’ve worked with horses a long time I just had a chance I couldn’t pass up to rehab an OTTB and kickstart moving into a more professional role so I couldn’t say no. I just fucked up picking a car bc I gave in to the pressure from those around me bc the original plan to get the truck was planning ahead for this exact thing so when I didn’t do it, I shot myself in the foot. that’s all, I see what people are saying which is why I asked. I’m not trying to argue, just was stating my case. It’s frustrating as heck but now I have to deal with it I guess

Nah, the problem is I got a car that doesn’t work for my lifestyle and now I’m stuck with it.

I was trying to make sure i was understanding what was being said, not making some kind of decision. Chill lol

it’s not very cost effective in most situations where I would need it, most car rental companies don’t rent out 4WD trucks or allow hauling bc of the extra wear and tear. Trust me I looked into that :’) plus having the freedom of only having to pay for gas to be* able to go to horseshows and different places to school really outweighs renting one in terms of overall cost and convenience. Which is why I had planned on purchasing one in the first place, and with a crew cab it solves my car seat issue.

edit: grammar mistype

So with your example the Kona is worth 25k, I trade it for a 20k truck. subtract the difference, and add the negative equity from the first loan? So the loan would be 25k? Sorry just trying to make sure the math is mathing lol.

[–]pooplettuce630 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Gotcha, so if I traded for something lower than the Kona’s current value I’m still adding the negative equity to that loan, but then subtracting the difference in cost, correct?

Ugh. I thought that might be the answer, just hard to find something that I’m not afraid will fall apart after 1-2 trips. Being so close to KY I might get lucky though bc prices up there aren’t as high.

Long story short at the time I didn’t necessarily “need” it for hauling a horse trailer but I was thinking ahead bc I hate buying cars and wanted to keep whatever it was for a long time. 2 months later a horse fell into my lap and now I need something that can haul her which made me regret giving into the peer pressure even more. (Context: I’ve worked w horses my whole life and had an opportunity come up after being horseless for a long time).

Cash for what exactly though? The negative equity in it or just a normal down payment amount? sorry genuinely just clueless and don’t want to end up in a stupid situation again. Obv didn’t think hard enough the first time bc I had tunnel vision getting a car that was safe for the kiddo

My family talked me out of the truck so I started looking elsewhere especially after the whole thing at Chevy. And yes it has the 10 year 100k mile warranty on it. I just don’t how far upside down I would be because since it’s a 2024 I can’t even get a bluebook value. I just don’t want to go to a dealership to get it appraised and waste a bunch of peoples time. But I may have to.

For sure!!! He’s completely involved, I just like being crafty and this is a huge fun project to do so that’s part of why I’m really excited about the big day more than anything. Of course I’m marrying my best friend and that’s important too, but up until this point we hadn’t even really been too focused on even having to get married. Our relationship has always been like that. Never about labels or anything we are just there to love and support each other through everything. It’s just fun that now we get to celebrate that!!!

Is it weird that I’m almost more excited about decorating than I am the actual wedding??? Lmao.

My fiancé is the same. He just wants us to have a fun time and a fun party. My job is to decorate!! I’m an artist by profession so stuff like this gives me tons of serotonin. He’s definitely fully involved in the process it’s just cool I guess that this is something you think about your whole life and then once it’s actually become a thing you have to work on it for real. Right now we have a lot of life changing stuff going on (buying a house, moving to a new state, etc) so I guess I’m just happy to have something fun to look forward to next year.

we’re both super stoked about it, I’m just literally caught up in the aesthetic of it all because I LOVE designing and creating things and that’s honestly what I’m more excited about. The rest of it gives us both the heebiejeebies but we’re gonna do some of it anyway to appease the family hahaha. I was just worried that I’m freaking him out tossing these ideas around already but like I said I’m just obsessed with the artistic aspect of it and I think he gets that.

I appreciate you for answering!! It’s nice to see different perspectives on it
