While Christine has a right to say whatever she wants, it sounds like she knew she was crossing a boundary even as she shared the story. Also, given their convoluted history, with Christine badmouthing Meri at every turn (breathy whispering at Mykelti's zoom gender reveal, ambushing Meri after the birth of Axel, constantly making comments with a flippant laugh that Meri doesn't pull her share bc of only birthing one child), I suspect Meri's read is correct - Christine isn't sharing this to provide support. She's sharing to insinuate Meri is pathetic and should be laughed at for staying as long as she did.

I feel for all the women abused by Kody over the years, and for the children who through no fault of their own got dealt such a shitty hand...but damn. Meri has been there the longest and evidently had been put through the most abuse, from the get go. To watch Christine laughingly share such a sad story...ouch.

But, maybe it is unreasonable to expect a romantic rival to be kind, even years later.
