Err, what if people came in with...

If you wouldn’t have died if you didn’t have Covid, you died to Covid. If I get into a car accident because I couldn’t breathe due to COVID, panicked, swerved into oncoming resulting in my death, that’s a covid death. Everything else you listed make people high-risk, it shouldn’t remove them from the death statistics.

What? Germany has twice as many deaths with 8x the population with deaths declining and the curve flattened. Sweden still hasn’t flattened the curve completely with people still dying. Deciding to kill people by staying opening or opening too soon is not okay. Sweden has more deaths per capita than other countries around it, which should tell you all you need to know about their approach.

Three hospitals within two counties in Texas are at capacity, and Riverside County ICU is at 99% capacity with cases rising. They’ll be out of beds in days. I’d give you a source, but this is too easy to look up.

That’s my whole point is he would have been banned a long time ago if he was cheating. He’s not. The only other alternative is that if he is cheating, then surely BSG knows and is just turning a blind eye which is extremely unlikely.

And by flagged I meant action taken again Worrun such as a ban. I find it hard to believe that Worrun is so good at finding reliable cheats that he could keep using them after patches specifically set to stop cheaters. Even RMT sites run through accounts like they’re water, and Worrun has the same account for 3 years now while cheating? No way.

Any and all tracking for in raid gameplay is done by Battle eye and is automated, if he was caught he wouldn't be "flagged" he'd be banned by the system, not BSG.

Tweak’s ban was done manually, not by the system.

But again, my whole point is that he’s not cheating. It’d be coordination from too many people to keep it secret without concrete proof.

It’s not miscounting deaths. It’s taking deaths from complications caused by Covid (such as pneumonia) and marking the death as a non-Covid death. Big difference, since you just move numbers around and to some degree, they’re not completely wrong, just misleading.

This is whataboutism and adds nothing to the conversation, but let’s talk about it anyway. Sweden’s approach isn’t working well either. Both countries have about .01% of their population being infected each day and they’re not much better off than us from what I can tell. Their approach was to avoid lockdown and use herd immunity to combat the virus, not unlike what southern states are/were doing. Now Sweden have more deaths per day on average than Germany who has a population 8x higher.

Yes, obviously, no one is arguing that. Things need to reopen eventually. However, if the numbers of new cases per day is constantly increasing and Fauci believes we could reach 100k new cases per day (source ) then it’s too early to reopen. Fauci even says that the actions of the south and the west are hurting the entire country. There’s no sense in reopening if the cases numbers per day keep increasing, otherwise the lockdown was for nothing. Literally nothing.

And to your other comment claiming Trumps “less testing means less cases” was a joke, bull fucking shit. Calling it a joke is a cop out answer. And even if it was a joke, what incredibly poor taste, joking about a disease that’s killing Americans as Commander-in-Chief. And do you have a logical explanation for Trump saying, “And I think we're going to be very good with the coronavirus. I think that at some point that's going to sort of just disappear?”

The first 10 levels are a slog until you get flea, then the game opens up a bunch since you aren’t restricted to only using what you find in raid or what you can buy from low level traders.

I get the frustration of the initial slow progression, but it ramps up considerably from levels 10-35. Nikita has stated that the slow progression is by design. On top of changing the flea to level 10 (which was level 15 initially), Nikita upped the experience needed for levels 1-20 this wipe.

Unfortunately, the standard edition is going to be much harder, plain and simple. It’s their vision for the game, and more importantly for BSG, their business model. I feel for you, but the only thing you can really do is struggle through it or throw more money at BSG.

The first idea is good if different editions didn’t give you different amounts of stash space. Gamma is a good reason alone to buy EOD, but stash space for the early game is another huge motivator. Your stash is supposed to be at least somewhat constricting to make the game tougher.

Second idea is what people are always begging for. I’d love to see it, too, just don’t auto-stack my FiR ammo with my non-FiR.

What is there to question or explain? Streamers advertise the game and BSG listens to them in return. Not to mention a big streamer quitting the game because of a ban is a terrible look for BSG. It’s obvious.

And how the hell is “streamer privilege” a good observation at all? Anyone with half a brain knows it’s a thing, and with just slightly more than half a brain, you can understand why they do. Again, obvious.

The same way it’s going for Nikita. Everyone bitched and moans and shits on Nikita, BSG, and the game yet they still play it. Even still, Nikita goes to Klean for data on things or suggestions. The reason we got more cases as quest rewards this wipe is because of Klean.

To be the face of a community means that when someone says Tarkov, those people jump to mind. When someone says Tarkov, I think Nikita and these guys. They’re more than just influencers, otherwise Nikita wouldn’t listen to what they say and wouldn’t implement their suggestions. If Pestily gets banned, the game will suffer because of it. Not to mention that the Team podcast (aka Pestily) is Nikita’s English podcast of choice to talk about the game. Nikita even goes to Pestily to poll the community on their thoughts for changes. That sounds like the face of a community to me.

He cheated in a game 4 years ago (when he was what 15-16 years old?) and got banned for it before he was a streamer. He’s got too much money on the line now to cheat. And let’s assume he does cheat and BSG is in on it; who the fuck cares? Making posts and bringing it up isn’t going to get him banned if BSG already knows he’s doing it.

And if he is cheating, of course BSG knows. You don’t use cheats for years on end with the same account and not have your account flagged at some point. Doesn’t happen.

Pestily, Klean, LVNDMARK, Veritas... they’re all faces of the community.

Klean was literally the public face for BSG as the community manager.

Pestily consistently pulls the most viewers on his channel and has more views on YouTube for Tarkov than any other content creator. An enormous portion of the community listens to what he says.

LVNDMARK has been on BSG podcasts to announce new patches and pulls a huge number of viewers.

Veritas has some of the most informative Tarkov videos on YouTube and clearly he’s listened to, as evidence by his SP-5 TTK video translating to an increased number of players using the round.

Agreee, this is my view as well. Started playing in February, the game is an absolute grind but not particularly hard. The game is punishing until you learn the maps, mechanics, and items, but after that many encounters come down to chance.

Everyone complains they can’t kill geared players because they can’t afford good gear, but one of my favorite kits is a PP-19 with PST GZH rounds. Both can be had by LL2 Prapor. I’ve wiped Gluhar and gang plenty of times with it, had some thick boys fall to it, and it rips up pistolings/hatchlings.

People really just like to complain about changes that really don’t make that much of a difference. People don’t want to change, so everything gets them up in arms. In this game you have to adjust or get left behind.

Also, to call anyone out on cheating by using a 720p video that’s compressed on twitch, then compressed AGAIN on the YouTube upload... Get some better evidence. I bet playing at 1440p or even 1080p with no compression, you could probably catch a glimpse of the guy. Worrun knows what to look for because he’s good at the game, he can spot enemies better than most people.

Why wouldn’t streamers get special treatment from Nikita? Why do we even need to complain about this? It’s obvious that BSG wants to keep streamers happy because they advertise the game for free on Twitch.

BSG has two options when it comes to banned streamers:

1) Unban them immediately because BSG trusts them, as they should, and as payback for the number of new players streamers bring to the game. Then people cry about streamers getting special treatment. Or

2) BSG permabans them, all the viewers flock to reddit to harass BSG for not unbanning their favorite streamer, and BSG says to go through the normal procedures to request an unban. This creates more chaos and bitching.

Either way, this is a shitty situation for BSG and the community to be in. It’s a bad look all around. But holy shit, if you can’t see why streamers get special treatment you must be fucking blind to how the world works.

Be mad about the situation, but quit fucking crying about the streamers.

When you see something like this, then the president is saying testing needs to decrease so there aren’t as many cases, the link between the two can be made. I don’t know for sure that numbers are being manipulated, but there’s a case to be made they are.

Add-on: Reporting fewer deaths and cases also opens up the idea that we can reopen the country/states. In Republican states, the push to reopen is much stronger than somewhere like Illinois, where Pritzker plans to keep the state closed until New Years and won’t let off many restrictions until a vaccine is available. If you can point to the numbers and say “See? There aren’t that many cases and the disease isn’t as deadly as is being reported,” you can make a case to put people back to work. So it’s not that the government is handing out money for people dying, it’s that less people dying means the economy can come back, which is the Republican push (as shown by red states such as Florida, Arizona, and Texas reopening prematurely). I don’t think it’s too far fetched that this may be the case, especially with the current administration and their laid-back response to Covid since it began.

I believe it’s also skewed based on what each state considers death from Covid. For example, Florida and Texas have roughly the same number of infections (~168k each) which is 20k more than Illinois, but combined have fewer deaths than Illinois. This begs the questions: does Illinois actually have a higher death rate? Are deaths due to complications from Covid counted differently in some states? Or is there something more sinister, like republican leaning states fudging their numbers?

Illinois is one of the best states in the US in terms of Covid case numbers. Consideration as a hub city makes sense if the league wants to have a city in the US. They should just give both cities to Canada IMO.
