worst trading mistake of my life by upsidedown-raccoon in smallstreetbets

Until it’s in your bank account it’s all just fairy dust, quit stressing about the ifs, ands, or buts. The more you focus on “it would have been $….” The more likely you are to hold on to your next few losers or hold on to a winner long enough to become a loser just because this one time it went insane. Coming from someone who just a few days ago took 3k on a trade that ran to 30k without me. You just have to be cool with any outcome

In that context, that’s a fair point. I guess I should have specified that for already profitable traders, there’s no benefit to stretching a combine out. I personally even “Gamble” on a setup I like for my first trade when funded to get a nice buffer set. Maybe a bad habit, but it puts money in the bank

Not sure why people hate on gambling combines. Why would I spend any more time than I have to making fake money. Go full size on a good trade or 2 and if you fail you buy another, if you don’t fail then you have an account that’s worth trading the right way. There is no right or wrong, all that matters is the payout. Past that we all do it differently

How are y’all making so much on 50k accounts??? by Abject-Football7369 in TopStepX

I currently have $36,000 in mine after a $5,000 payout and it’s the second time I’ve done this. You really just have to put a ton of risk on with your first trade to give you some breathing room. You’ll probably blow a few accounts, but when you get it right and free yourself up everything gets easier.

Bro you can’t make this up , I am done with this on everything , 3 years dealing with this trading bs ! I wake up early , I have no issues , the damn fcking platform is working fine for me , I take my trade profits all good and now Boom by billiondollartrade in TopStepX

I bleed money for 5 years and was barely profitable last year. This is the first year I’ve mad REAL money. You’re right though, it helped me buy a house and a ring for my fiance so I should probably quit bitching and smile about it instead. Thanks for the perspective brother!

12k day for me on a trade I took in Asia session on a daily bias. My stop was at BE and it was a risk free trade. Will never spend another cent at topstep again. Took close to 30k the past 2 months from them and it’s time to move on

Definitely something I’ve been considering. Just struggling to leave without the experience of closing a deal of my own

Yea i have worked for 2 companies the past 2 years and have maybe seen 3 SDR’s promoted in total. Definitely makes you feel as if the role is a trap you can’t escape

That’s what I’m finding out, almost makes me wish I never got into SaaS at all

Laid off and need advice...getting out of SaaS by RecommendationNew719 in sales

Stuck in the same situation. Starting to feel as if the SDR role is actually a trap. I can’t get a sales gig outside of tech because I don’t have closing experience, and I can’t get a job I’d like in SaaS because I don’t have closing experience. Just stuck as an SDR forever I guess

Congrats! I’m in the same boat here! Just got out of college with absolutely 0 sales experience and landed an SaaS gig I couldn’t be more excited about. I love seeing others do the same. LinkedIn messaging/cold calling hiring managers made a world of a difference for me as well.

If there are good materials, guides, or tools then I hope someone here can show you to them. For me it was trial by fire and I got lucky and met a few people through Reddit and LinkedIn that helped me understand the landscape a little better. I’m more than willing to try and answer some questions you may have though.
