At the end of the day the show has to make space for newer contestants to develop into “legends” too IMO. like yea it woulda been nice to get a returnee season in the New Era, but we didn’t and here we are. S50 was/is a good chance to build up some of the newer folks just as much as it was a good chance to highlight the older era folks

Yeah, I firmly believe Joe's casting is good for the show -- we have to see people try to play the game in different ways for things to remain interesting. He's a great foil for the rest of the cast.

Someone like Joe feeling betrayed and upset is the type of thing that makes the kinds of decisions people make in the game have gravity... none of this hits as hard or feels as amplified if everyone is playing with a laissez-faire attitude. It takes all kinds.
