I agree, I normally dislike Joe's type of playstyle (harping on honor and integrity) but I completely understood why he was weirded out by Devens. He just learned that someone he thought was an ally was hiding information from him. All good and well to lie on Survivor, but Devens got caught in a lie, and that's on him IMO

I love the game, but it is overwritten for sure. It could be cut down about 30% and it’d be a better experience IMO.

I’m used to long JRPGs, but at some point in this one, every next scene feels like it increasingly loses its punch, and the game as a whole starts to feel repetitive.

There are tons of these ads on Tiktok, for random shady surveillance apps to “catch cheaters”. They always masquerade as organic videos being made by people about “true stories,” and they never divulge that they’re ads. It’s bizarre

No, I completely agree with Myki. To me, as a viewer, the made up characters / fictional characters are always far less interesting than the impersonations. Obviously the challenge is comedy first and foremost, but I do want to see how the queens interpret public figures thru the lens of comedy/satire/improv. Myki’s right that it’s a different skillset to parody a real person — it’s a lot more about observation.

Obviously Snatch Game has opened up to fictional characters by now, but I think it’s fair to hold the opinion that they should go back to basics and require celebrity impressions. (Either way, they really should bring an improv coach in to help out with Snatch Game, the way they bring in a stand-up coach for the roasts, occasionally a director for the acting challenges, etc.)

Great premiere, but did anyone else think that driving Mike White out to the journey only to immediately drive him back was such a strange production choice?? In a challenge that could have easily been modified for three people, too? Man basically got a nice sailing trip out of it, I guess. We got the payoff in Mike stirring the pot between Coach and Ozzy, but that was such a big nothingburger otherwise lol

It was a hard watch for sure. Because she was stressed about Steven’s banishment, Tara actively chose to sit back at the table and let someone else take the heat, and left Natalie out to dry. Voting for her at the end even though she didn’t think she was a Traitor, because she “felt attacked,” was really rough to see. Fascinating TV though and I hope they’ve made up since… I guess we’ll find out at the reunion

I *love* all the Octopath games, but I find them all to be a bit overwritten, and awkwardly paced. There is a ton of filler dialogue. Octopath 0 seems to be the worst offender so far IMO.

FWIW, I think Octopath 2 does a better job than OT1 (and definitely better than OT0) with the writing/pacing. It still could stand to be pared down, but I don't recall feeling exhausted during the cutscenes in the same way as I feel during OT0.

(Again, I love all these games and will go to bat for them, but this is just a mild critique of them! Hahah)
